Grave

A Halo 3 trailer was shown at the Microsoft Pre-E3 press conference today. If you don't want to hear details and prefer to just watch it yourself, just skip to the link below. If you for some reason can't watch the trailer (like at work or in a quiet environment), keep reading. The trailer starts out with a quick piano key and a white screen, then reveals a large, savanna-like landscape with water while soft music plays with the occasional piano notes. The music in this trailer rules, if you ask me. As the camera gets closer to the ground as it pulls back, a blue, scrambled figure appears for a moment, issuing jarbled words. It disappears, but comes back soon and is revealed to be Cortana, saying that she is your shield, your soul. Soon, a small cloud of dust takes the focus. Master Chief steps through the dust. Kickass. Cortana says she knows you, your past, your future. Damn I love this piano work.

He looks up as Banshees pass overhead, as well as a very large ship (sorry, I don't play Halo, so I don't know the name), and now the camera pans around, revealing the land in front of Master Chief, which looks like a cliff dropping off to a giant crater, which is right below a giant hole in the swirling clouds as lightning flashes. Now the Halo theme kicks in. Hell yes. Now the crater seems to have had an underground explosion, and revealing segments that are coming up to show a white, bright light underneath. Oh snap!- the light is growing, and it doesn't look like it's a good thing, because after a pretty reflection of it off of Chief's visor, the music stops and it basically just explodes, turning the screen white.

A pause. Cut to black with Cortana's voice kicking in again, saying "This is the way the world ends." Dramatic. Cool trumpet music plays, then the Halo 3 logo, then "Finish the Fight" text appears, with 2007 written underneath.
