why do we say things we dont mean to hurt the ones we love?
why do we love the bad side of good then smite Him from above?
why do we question reality as if it'd make a difference
to jump ahead, start again or rewrite a single sentence?

for after death and before you, i slept of cold beat skin
to touch a thing to steer my mind, thats all i needed then
before you, i had died inside, though love brought me back to life
before i could take my own, they say, each path leads the same height

why have i now continued just to argue my own way
why cant i just accept the truth and live for me today?

Sounds like you are is a lot of emotional conflict and somewhat confused. This is what I saw in it.

It reminded me of life... which is often a paradox. Life doesn't always make sense, and this poem shows that. Once again good work.
