Ok, since this is obviously to difficult. The answer is Lamprey. The Lamprey is a type of carnivorous eel the has many razor like teeth. It swims into it's prey and burrows its way through it. Next riddle then, still for 100 points:
Take away the whole and some still remains. What is it?
The answer is "wholesome". I figured I would choose an easy one since the one prior to that seemed bit complicated. This one will also be for 100 points since that one was so easy.
Riddle 4
I am the black child of a white father;
A wingless bird, flying even to the clouds of heaven.
I give birth to tears of mourning in pupils that meet me,
and at once on my birth I am dissolved into air.
A man wanted to enter an exclusive club but did not know the password that was required. He waited by the door and listened. A club member knocked on the door and the doorman said, "twelve." The member replied, "six " and was let in. A second member came to the door and the doorman said, "six." The member replied, "three" and was let in. The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door. The doorman said ,"ten" and the man replied, "five." But he was not let in.
This thing all things devour;
beast, bird, tree, flour,
gnaws iron, bites steel,
grinds hard stones to meal,
slays king; ruins town,
and brings high montains down.
I believe I've seen this one and it having been in the Hobbit or something? Anyways, it's "Time." (although it almost seems like "Water" fits in most of those things too, lol).
Very well, I see I must be more clever. In such manner, I will award the person to solve this riddle 150 points. You must give an explination as to how you solved the riddle. It is as follows:
An old king is about to die and he has no offspring to inherit the crown. So he summons the three wisest men from his kingdom and puts them to a test. He tells them that he is about to put them in a room and have his aide put a hat on each of them. Each hat may or may not have a dot on it, but at least one hat will have a dot. They may not touch the hats, nor communicate in any way. The first one that correctly identifies whether his hat has a dot will become the next king. If he is wrong, or if he breaks the rules, he will be killed. Then he sends all three wise men into the room. The king then tells his aide to put dotted hats on all three. A few minutes later one of the wise men returns and announces proudly that he has a dot.
Oh, I thought I replied to this, It's a big "If I were in his shoes how would I think" deal. We'll say Mr. A, Mr. B, and Mr. C. Mr. A is like hmm if I was B how would I think this through. If I (aka Mr. A) didn't have the dot then B would think "If I don't have the dot C would know his is the only with the dot since A and I don't and he would rush to claim his prize, but since he doesn't that means I have a dot." However since B did not rush to claim his prize we know A must have a dot, otherwise B would have clearly figured this out by now. .
