A Whispering of Words... - Blizzard Sector

Man, I haven't written a poem in a while now, but here is one I just created:

A Whispering of Words

As the Moon fades behind the ever-enveloping clouds,
The night grows ever darker and mysterious.
The landscape is full of shadows, darkness does shroud,
This tainted land of the people unnamed.

A boy, lost and frightened in the woods, stumbles and falls,
Over the root of a great oak, massive in size and wisdom.
He gets up and runs, while the great oak tries to catch him in its claws.
Scratched and bruised, his hope now fading, he lies down to weep.

Across the land, as the world is plunged into darkness,
People gather together, to ward of the oncoming plague.
Armed with weapons and wisdom alike,
They prepare to fight this thing, the source of which is non-too vague.

In a world where greed and madness reign, the nations join together.
As the world they know falls to pieces, a light in the mist is revealed.
Yet behold, the people are not ready for this vision,
And so as a result, the light that contains the Truth, is thus concealed.

Good poem. It seems strange to me tho, I can't put my finger on it.

Well.. its not bad really. Not much poetry in my eye's its more of a story thrown into verse...

That was excellent prose.Very imagiginative. I have written several short stories along those lines. I am not sure if I posted them or not. Nice work!*clap*

All poetry are stories. They tell about our feelings and views. Chaucer wrote poetic stories. The Cantunbery Tales for example.

Exactly...all poetyy is not just rhyming words.... but symetry and expresion of thought and feelings.If you have done this you have succeded.
