Boredom and no caffeine will do this to me.

The Stream
Two friends are walking near a stream. The friends help each other cross the
stream by leading themselves on rocks. As the friends move farther down, the
only way to cross the stream is by bridge.

The bridges are worn by time, only one person can cross at a time. The two
friends help each other cross, as with the rocks. But as the rive grows
wider, and the bridges are more worn, the friends start to quarrel as to
who crosses first.

Finally, the two friends find a bridge over a fork in the river. It is the
most worn of all the bridges. The friends get into an argument over who
will cross first. The arguing soon turns to fighting, and the two friends
scramble to get on the bridge first.

The bridge collapses, and the two friends plunge into the river.
Each body rushes to opposite divisions of the fork in the river, then the
two friends drown on the separate paths, alone.
