Arrow WoW forums: player explains how Blizzard has neglected the game - 03-14-2008, 02:20 PM

World of Warcraft may have surpassed the 10 million subscriber mark, but that doesn't mean that everyone is satisfied with the way that Blizzard has been running the game.

Player Weathers, for instance, believes that the company has seriously neglected it. It turns out that Weathers' complaints were mostly PvP-related.

The player lamented the lack of balance with regards to WoW classes and specs and the dearth of available battlegrounds. Weathers even offered suggestions as to how Blizzard can improve the PvP model.

Fortunately, Drysc addressed Weathers' complaints regarding both issues. First, Drysc explained that while specs may not always be equal, they may be viable depending on the situation, the environment and the players involved:

A prot warrior or shadow priest or what have you should though be able to jump into a battleground or arena and be able to do something with some small amount of success.

There's a synergy within the classes for PvP, as well as PvE, that doesn't lend itself to a model where every spec is exactly the same, exactly as viable as the other, in every situation.

Drysc also discussed Blizzard's position regarding the battlegrounds. According to the blue poster, creating more battlegrounds at this point will involve a lot of work and time. It's not that Blizzard isn't willing to devote time to it.

Rather, the company is more intensely focused on preparing the anticipated Wrath of the Lich King update which will contain a new battleground. After all was said and done, perhaps Weathers' situation was really just a case of someone's need to be listened to and affirmed.
