i have the original game + burning crusade. anyone have any tips on starting? play regular then expansion, start off with expansion, what?
do i need to go buy a microphone and sell my soul to satan? any help appreciated thx. if anyone wants to play with meh that would be totally baller as well.

The expansion added higher content, or a new starting race, might as well install both though because it adds a good starting zone to quest at. Also what kind of class do you want to play? Melee? Ranged? Caster? Class that can do all of those?

i still have to patch the game. this beast is a bigger pain in my ass than hemorrhoids. blizzard's torrents with all opened ports won't download the game, so i don't know where i am playing. when i patch up ill figure all that out.
I just started a Deathknight on Exodar with Skye and Spit so if you want to come over I started out at level 55 so I can run you through instances and get you some gear.
You're going to want to install the expansion along with the original game since you get two new starting races (Blood Elves for Horde and Dranei for Alliance). You should look into the different racial bonuses of each race.
In fact, I'm going to post a short guide on creating a new character here in a minute.

I gave up playin D2 to play wow.Game blows d2 away,will never go back,lol.Incidentally,I just started about 6 weeks ago,and I play on Nazgrel(PVE server).I have lvl 23 blood elf rogue named Nisasa,lvl 22 orc hunter named Magneton,and My soon to be main character,a lvl 26 blood elf warlock,named Darkdeth.This game can go pretty deep into detail,and is recommened to play with friends,as its more fulfilling.You can also join a guild,which is what i did,the guild I belong to is called Black Blood Battalion,and was very helpful to me in starting out.I was even promoted one rank ahead of my level for helping someones alt out,and I didnt even know he was part of the guild.Anyway,enuff ramblin' Just install WOW,TBC,and WOTLK,then start playin.

Just try to get on with the leveling, do an instance here and there, will boost your experience gain. If you get stuck, try World of Warcraft Pro | Brings Game Experience to You! they have excellent leveling guides. Don't overuse it though, I think that rigidly following those guides will take a lot of fun out of the game, even though you will level very quickly. Just enjoy the early levels : )
And picking your race depends a lot on the class that you are going to play, some are better for some classes than they are for others. Some races are more PvP orientated and others are more PvE (WoW term for PvM).
