As far as I know on changing hotkeys for Warcraft III, there is this custom set up you can download which makes the hotkeys on the grid

QWER
ASDF
ZXCV

so you can command or pump units faster. I forget what it is called but I'm sure you can google it and find it.

Is that what you were looking for? I believe there is a way you can create your own custom hotkey set-up that suits you better. I forgot how as I havn't played Warcraft in a while but I believe you can D/L Keycraft and edit it to suit your needs to it just isn't:

QWER
ASDF
ZXCV
