well I'm bored and going to start this up again........

Say your're running a new linux setup. Kernel version 2.6.x, and you're having problems loading hardware modules after you recompile the kernel with the new modules. You are not cross compiling, and the modules are tried and true, since they worked on your old 2.4 kernel setup. What's the problem, and how can we fix it ladies?

Find a nice version of Ubuntu, or roll back to 2.4
