haha one of the xboxs is my buddies. (its broken)
Athlon X2 4850e
2x1gb & 2x512mb ddr2 800 = 3 gb dual channel ram
500 gb WD GP sata 2 hdd
radeon hd3650 512mb gddr3
lg sata super multi dvd-ram drive
19 inch lg flatron 5000:1 contrast, 2ms response (because the human eye notices, lolz)
Only have 2 case fans (strategically positioned with other vents/holes covered up). Near silent. Temp never goes above 80 F in case.
Mine is getting ready to kick, you can tell by the sounds it's making. ='[
Dell Dimension 2400 desktop
Intel Celeron 2.4GHz
768mb RAM
80GB harddrive
Creative Sound blaster live ed.
The video card is some crappy built in thing and the cd/dvd drives are both near shot. meaning, when I stick a cd in I have to restart the computer before it will read it without freezing up.)
It has a crappy floppy drive that tends not to work.
Most of the USB plugs on the back panel got shot a while back.
My computer is getting ready to bite the dust.
But man, this thing has run for four years with me putting God knows how much pressure on it.
I love it dearly.
But I do need a new machine.
I'm looking at one like this:
Intel 2 Quad Core 2.4GHz
4GB RAM
nVidia Geforce 9800GX2 x2(Crossfire/SLI)
120GB harddrive
CD/DVD/DVD-DL Burner
Apevia X-Dreamer ATXB3KLW case
Creative Sound Blaster
^^^$1909
Someday....someday...
I know that, I just copied and pasted it from the website I built the pc on.
Just making sure there aren't people out there buying SLI bridges for ATI cards and what not.
"I'm not a geek, I'm just coolness challenged."
Oh, certainly. I know I once bought some ram that totally didn't fit. Made me a tad bit unhappy. I would hate to go and throw some cash into something that wouldn't go, something that expensive, lol.Just making sure there aren't people out there buying SLI bridges for ATI cards and what not.
Would suck. haha.
Well, It doesn't cost a lot but I was willing to sacrifice a little harddrive space for the upgrading of some other things. Plus I have a 250GB backup drive.Any reason for only a 120GB HDD? 3.5" HDD SATA-300 750GB 32MB Doesn't cost alot anymore.
Kind of one of those marketing schemes ya know?
Marketing my need for a new computer to my mother and playing up the fact I sacrificed the functionality of one part that wasn't needed in the hopes she will see the fact that I didn't go for the biggest baddest machine possible.
Which, with this computer build guy, would have been with 1TB drive, dual monitors, and such unnecessary things.
I've lasted out the last 4 years on an 80gb harddrive so I think I'm fine.
Windows Vista bus. 64 Bit
Intel i7 920 processor 2.66 ghz (gunna overclock soon possibly, I'll probably just go up to 3 ghz, but right now my first core is running at 2.66 while the others run at 2.25 so I might just set them all to 2.66 ghz)
Evga x58 motherboard (e-leet utility)
6 gigs of ddr3 1333 mhz
xfx geforce gtx 260 896 mb ram (overall, I have 2.9 gigs of vram shared)
Monsoon 3 lt cpu cooler (this things huge, about the size of a large power supply)
1 TB western digital hard drive
Just built it today, vista 64 bit is actin funny tho, I already dislike it.
The cooler was a pain to install, barely fit.
However, my pc started up first time no problem.
