When I get a good-paying job this summer, I'll definentely be working on a brand new computer, I will be outfitting it with a NVidia 7800GT, and some other goodies, but not too expensive. Custom is definentely the current way to go. Companies are charging way too much considering you can get the same computer CHEAPER at www.newegg.com, trust me, they sell things a bit cheaper than what you would find at a Computer Shop or something similar.

oh and having the different hard drives is nice, HOWEVER, you needa freaking tell it to install into the different directery every single time you install something. windows has it set up to where you install windows is the default directory. or you can just have one hard drive and partion it. you will see these options when you are loading windows.

when you are build your computer, make sure you are static free. touch a doornob or something. or plug in your power supply and touch that. (it is grounded) if you are going be taking stuff out and shit, then makesure the surface is static free to. newspaper works fine.
