ok i voted rock (i listen to metal, rock, nu-metal, heavy metal, black metal, death metal ect...metal.)
i was raised on I country (mom listened to it) then i saw a sticker for a rock station (107.7) now all i listen to is metal and rock and on ocastion(cant spell) daft punk (teckno) i persnaly dont like rap for a few reasons 1. all it is is ryming; they through a few words next to each other that sound the same and make a lot of money from it. 2.they eather talk about all the money they make or how they held up the store down the street and killed the guy at the regestor or there jewlery. 3. then they take the same beat and play it the hole time the song is on (i.e do...do...do...do...do...do...do...)it gives me a headache

As far as I'm concerned rap is the same shi*y beat over and over and over again with guys high pitched voices talking about sex, drugs, or killing themselves... it's dumb...

wow. rock does alot of that too.

But rock has more music, and I like heavy metal not rock...

I like both. I listen to all kinds of music, if I had to pick one over the other, good old classic rock.


Also, most rap songs aren't about what you described Warslvt, but then again I would agree with you on about how the songs that are about those things, they're dumb.

Look at Nelly's new music video and look at dimmu borgir's "Progenies Of The Great Apocalypdse" <------------- Much better and makes more sence with the music.... love that song.

i like some rap but not much only what i get exposed through MTV but there are some rappers who all they talk about is hoes and womens ASSests and not these posing basterds like nelly and jeuvinale or however he spells it and the 1 person i cant stand for like 3 secs is ja rule his voice is like putting nails on a chalk board but worse

i'll listen to something new no matter what.....and i'll decide if i like it fairly. its just that i've seldom heard a rap song that i've enjoyed listening to. honestly, i hate it. also, i hate most new emo music (i thinks its emo....all i know for sure is that it sucks). but even the classic rock (my favorite music) radio station in my town is starting to play more and more new stuff. sigh.....i remember the days when this station would play only stuff like Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, The Who, AC/DC......those were the days

i've listened to enough rap in my life to know that most of it is crap. About life? Maybe some of it. The majority of new rap artists suck major balls. They rap about getting drunk, getting "it" on, getting high, and a bunch of other shit. Oh yes it is VERY meaningful. With 1 good rap artist who actually raps about stuff that makes people give a damn there are like 100 other artists who ppl could care less about.
Most REAL rock isn't about love. There are just some punk pop pussies who wish they could be a hardcore rock band. (hoobastank, sum41 etc) next time you say something about a certain subject (rock) make sure you know wut the hell ur talkin about instead of makin urself look like a jackass. werd.
