big bang, what the hell brought that up?? That theory doesn't make sense to me because what was before that, nothingness? Just an empty void?? and what caused the big bang

Like I said before, I dont deny that there is something spiritual i dont think we'll ever truly know until the day we die

OK so let me get this straight then. Help me out here. The Earth is about 4-5 billion years old, so for simplicity's sake we will call that the beginning of time. So at the beginning, *** creates everything, including this garden. And in this garden, Eve eats an apple and gets kicked out. We'll call that what, like 3.5 billion years ago, again for simplicity's sake. So then where did humans go for 3 billion years while life evolved on our planet? Where were humans when fish started walking out of the ocean to become dinosaurs and eventally monkeys? Did people take a trip to Mars for 3 billion years then come back a couple thousand years ago? None of it adds up.
now you answer that

no one can prove that earth is indeed that old, civilization as we know it (when writing was invented) that was 6000 years ago. fits abotu right with the bible

Im not denying that there isnt something spiritual but christianity (or anything apart of it) doesnt have it right
ok i believe your goin over board, yea keep your oppinion, but if u've read previous posts your verging on insult. actually not vergin, you are insulting. Whether thats your intent or not, i don't believe insulting other's beliefs is appropriate. And for ure sake please read other posts we've covered many of the things your venting about.

hey math, i watched this stephen hawking thing on discovery channel, it was quite interesting. Now of course these are all theories. But this one theory i don't know anyone ever fathomed. Stephen Hawking believes that THe universe just is. Nothing started it up. It just was up. you know? it may sound controdictory to his other theories but it isint. The big bang just happened. His only analogy is like a bubble that has been blown without a person who blew it up. This is just a theory, just because he's an incredibly smart man doesn't mean we have to believe it. I think its an interesting thought.

now to your first thing. Who cares if it doesn't make sense to you. u haven't researched or studied it to understand it. Heres some insight. If the big bang model is correct. Time started with the bigbang, any events (if any)before it has nothing to do with us or the universe.

agh another qoute, i just feel i need to voice my words when i read this stuff. Math, The earth is much much older than 6000 years, of course it has to be there is evidence of that because of fossils, carbon and other isotope dating. If your not sure wat that is. A simple explanation is that
Carbon-14 dating or any other isotope dating shows how a radioactive isotope decays by halflives. These half-lifes give a very accurate representation of how old a mineral or an object is. For instance Lets use Uranium-236 (i think thats the isotope, my information might be flawed here on, cuz im drawing it from memory) It takes millions of years to decay into half its original state. Thats to say 1kg of uranium 238 will become .5 of a kg in millions of years, the reamin .5kg has become lead (it doesn't go straight to lead, it slowly decends the periodic table).
Geologists have seen minerals with that type of composition, this allows them to date how old things are. Im a bit tired so these sentences are probably put togethor horribly*.

I have study a bit on carbon dating and the like. From what I understand it isn't that acurrate. I also believe that it is no older then 7000 years. As for fish to dinosaurs to monkeys t0 humans is completely rediculous.

A LOT boggles your mind. But he is right and I question that too.Just because a lot of scientist theorise something and write long papers on it does not make it accurate.
Priest...you are being insulting and annoying.Play nice with the rest of the kids and don't piss Mom off.You won't like me much then.Trust me on this.

the evolutionary path split at that point. One going to the modern chimpanze and the other to humanoids.

oh and regardless whether radio metric dating is innaccurate.
When u have 1gram of zircon and you find there is 25% U-235 isotope relative to Pb-207 isotope. THan you know atleast 2 halflives have occured.

I don't want a big political/christianity bullshit debate sparking from this. But simply,

How did we as creatures... come to be? I can't get my head around it.

Like.. we evolved from chimps. Okay. Then where did those chimps come from? Like.. idk. How did all living creatures... start to exist?

As I said. I don't want god talk. I want factual reasoning.

if w e use science, all life came from a single cell, then invertibraes, then fishes then ...you know what im talking about. then 65 million years ago, someone sent a nice large rock down the dinos throats, the surviving reptiles...survuve... and mammels eventually evolved to us.

The thing is there is nothing yet that is factual. There are many different tracks on the evolutionary theory. One scientist will give one theory and another will say it's wrong. there is now one solid fact.

well there have been experiments to show how the process likely started.
Amino acids which are i think a complex chain of organic molecules can be created with, energy, and electrolyte and something else...can't remember (probably the organic molecules). I believe they like simulated a small bolt of lightning directed to an electrolytic water source with the molecules and they found amino acids in place of them.
From that, the amino acids join to become a protein, than a single cell organism and so on. Althought the theories may differ siris, i do believe they all follow the process that darwin researched. The theories may not be right, but nothing has proved them wrong yet.

would make sense wouldn't it. Dinosaurs are the single most succesful vertibrate in the evolutionary chain. Suddenly being wiped out needs a good explanation.

Of course I didn't want a full-length confirmed and recorded analysis deprived from years and years of research and study.

I meant like... Using common knowledge to form your own personal opinion.

Idk. Mybe I worded it funny. I've been hanging around math for too long.

As for my opinion.... I believe that god indeed create us, and I also believe there is substantial amount of evidense to support that. As to whether to follow a certian religion is still iffy.

well can science explain how the universe creat such perfect conditions for an earthclass planrt while se see none others of this type? (dont debate me i know there are tons of E class planets but none were confirmed to even have water let alone have life

Math I can debate you all day....and win.....Faith is needed here.Theory is just that...a theory..so we as humans need to beleive in a higher power and source of salvation.Science can not explain it all.I DO find the investigations fascinating, and keep an open mind to all relevant information offered.
