I appreciate you guys lookin after the site and tryin to protect new users frmo gettin a virus, don't get me wrong. No one wants to reformat their harddrive. But threatening to contact someone's isp and requesting legal action is a LITTLE too harsh don't you think?

doesn't this site support several illegal activities? even has it's own forum section on how to cheat the game and break the license agreement.

im' just sayin there's no need to bust someone's balls about a silly virus that probably isn't very dangerous anyway. unless of course you know something about that person you're not saying, which of course would be a good reason.

Did you ever read the legal agreements when signing up for this site or when trying to download things?

And do you know for sure, that messing with your single player character is against the rules?

Effectively, what goes on follow the rules, and someone changing how their single player character works, isnt against the rules. The site owners are not responsible for what users post.

However, people are responsible for what they post, and hurting someones computer is a serious offense.

It's what legal. As far as the admins are concerned, they are not going to be able to be charged for someone using a hack on something they weren't spose to in the first place. According to their "rules" its only for single player. Where those meant for single player? No. But they do it legally.

Giving someone viruses isn't legal. Its stupid, against the law, and a good way to earn a bad name.

Edit: I guess I'm just trying to protect the "good" name of these forums.

But yeah, I think the guy should be hung by his intestines for including viruses of any kinds. We get around the system, but we don't do it maliciously.

This guy is a scammer from this site a while ago, and has created many acc's to spam the gold dupe with virus, i believe he did it 3-5 times on new acc's after being banned. The nature of repeat offenses is why they are being so harsh, if it was a one time deal, they wouldnt give a shit, just ban him.

COUGH COUGH...warez in the 1337 section...COUGH COUGH

I see what you're saying, but if someone can get around ip bannings then the only way to keep him from harassing the site would be to contact his isp.

Shhhhh, he isn't spose to know about IHOP (International House of ****) AKA 1337.

Yeah, if he saw that, he'd probably say we're being hypocritical. But I still don't think thats a point.

Either way, giving someone a virus hurts people. Hacking a game really doesn't matter when the creators really couldn't give a **** and the only reason they support it anymore is to make cash.
