I've already stated this, but it derserves to be stated twice.

Speaking of which, for those under the Draft age group, I would like to head the effort to get us into politics and use the influence we have to convince others to vote for a president who won't Draft us and send us off into yonder.

I am under the Draft age group, and I'll be DAMNED if I have to go, with or without my will! We need to make sure that these people are putting someone in office that aren't going to send us off to yonder. We have a voice and, *** condemn it, *** made me with a megaphone for a mouth! Let's do the damn thing!

Lol, i agree with you there, Crimson. 100%. We need to rally the draft-age and speak out against the possibilities of us being forced to head out into the war. Speaking of which, didn't the government abolish the usage of drafts forever? Isn't our military "a full commission of volunteers" or some B.S. of that sort?

Lol, we're the prime of the assholes. We're grade-A targets at the local grocery market. for instance, where the government can now randomly tap into our e-mails to search out the 'terrorists'. Where in the hell did that idea come from, how is it contributing society, and why was it passed?

There hasn't been a draft in years. And you have nothing to worry about, they promise so much to high school seniors these days, you have enough of them running off to join as soon as they graduate.

ZK is right about this one. I remember a big chunk of my senior class in high school went straight to the military, just cause they listened to those recruiters that were sent like every other week.
And I don't believe you could head the effort seeing as there already is one.

Yeah, they won't draft anyone. Seniors go to the army right away because they can/are:

A) Go to college for free
B) They have nothing else better to do with their lives
C) Are patriotic
D) Want to be pilots, linguists/spies etc
E) Can retire at age 39 with a $40,000/year pension. They can also get a job and make even more money too.


People have so many reasons to join the army that we don't need a draft. In my opinion, someone who actually wants to fight is a better soldiers than someone who is forced to fight anyways.

What makes you think we would need a draft? We're trying to pull out of Iraq, especially since Bush is leaving office soon (1/28 right?). Unless there is a World War or something of a much larger scale, I don't think we'd have to worry about a draft anytime soon. And if there is a draft, just donate a kidney or something so you don't have to go.

Besides, if you did a draft, the first people to go would be rednecks and convicts. And if that were the case, the rednecks would probably end up shooting each other, or any thing that runs across their line of site, friendly or not......and the convicts would only be constaly scheming of ways to get the **** out of there and run free.

its called selective service, and there is no way around it.

If you want there to be no draft vote Ron Paul in 2008. He also wants to do away with federal income tax. IMO I think hes the candidate with the most to offer so far. He has made alot of powerful enemies though so he dont get much publicity. Spread the word!!!

Ok, I think at this point, it's fairly obvious that no matter who you vote for, there isn't going to be a draft.
