Micheal Moore had done it once again. He has proved that the united states government treats its citizens as a secondary interest, if we are even that lucky, to money. It is an outrage that several third world countries that have not even a tenth the resources we have can provide for their citizens better than we can ours. Washington, the ill gotten gains capitol of the world, has once again shown that anything ,no matter what the consequences should it be human lives or civil rights, can come to pass if enough dirty money is thrown at it. But its all ok cause its the "land of the free right".

Basically talks about how poor America treats its people.
We are ranked #37 on a list of our health care systems. (cuba is #39, I believe)
HMO was only created to gain higher funds by give poorer treatment.
The drugs companies buy the government to pass bills.
The government lies about the true nature of the bills.
Volunteers from the clean up of the WTC are not given any help for conditions sustained during there work.
Other countries sell the same drugs for a lot cheaper than ours.
Drug companies mark up the cost of the raw materials of active ingredients, in there drugs, 2000++%.
One hospital would pay a cab to go drop off people unable to pay there bill on the street.
Although I do not like Moore, based on his other works, and although, like his other works, he generalizes certain things or is misleading he still makes a good point. Which is basically how can one of the super powers of the world treat it's people so poorly. No compassion- like having a straight faced orgasm.

I've heard that a lot of the stuff in that movie is kinda iffy (wouldn't surprise me after watching that Bowling For Columbine travesty he put together) I dunno though, I doubt other countries governments are all that concerned with their citizens. People should do something if they really want a difference. Providing free health care is tricky, and most of the countries that have it, find it to be sucky, eh that's my ill informed opinion anyhow ;P

Well, I am too dumb to understand politics, but I don't really do anything to help or hurt the government or its people - sure maybe I vote, but it's not enough. However, I don't expect the government to roll a red carpet at my feet or anything, and I have not been unfairly treated so I can't say I love or hate the government.
Maybe it's because I see a lot of those points Ragnar made revolved around money, and I'm not a big money spender or maker; therefore I guess I have no importance to the government, and maybe the feeling is kind of mutual. *shrugs*

It's gotten to the point where all the constitution is is a piece of old tattered paper. Like the whole email and phone eavesdropping thing. A certain organization compiled a petition and tried to file a suit to eliminate this practice. Unconstitutional as it may be ,since the president wants it, he gets it. And the courts response to their request was, since they could not prove that they themselves have been eavesdropped on they had no case, even though Bush openly admits this practice is in place. It's come to the point that the government can do whatever they want without consequence. I think the time has come where the government spends more time developing programs that benefit themselves rather than developing programs that are intended to serve their original purpose, which is to serve its citizens. In my opinion the day has come where the system no longer works. But it is hard to say that anything would work considering the dark tendencies of modern man. But in my opinion I think a change of pace would be worth a try.

@Bigdeath: The policies he had in place caught several terrorists and thwarted more attempts to kill people.Get back to me when you know what you are talking about.
It IS contitutional a presidential RIGHT and OBLIGATION to take care of national security....these wire taps were not on random citizens, and he DOES have the power to do this....I suggest you get your facts straight beacause at this point you simply appear as a malcontent with no clue. Pam you are the most naive person here so save yourself some time and embarrassment by refraining from posting until research what you say rather than sputtering out un-researched banter and calling it (self-proclaimed) truth. If you graduated high school maybe you would remember this. Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Emails are personal effects and should not be searched without a warrant. Your defense that he is saving lives stands on weak legs. The main reason they want to kill us now is cause the mess he stirred up. Everything you said in his defense is just his shoddy excuse he fed us for this unconstitutional practice. There are several different, more effective ways to thwart these attacks other than eavesdropping on American citizens.

I like how the news just down played that bush was monitoring people without warrants. Bush is an idiot and not the kinda of person that should be running the country. Not saying Kerry was any better.
The only reason that terrorist come and try to destroy us is due to the fact that we have been over there so much. They don't give a shit that we have so much freedom or anything like that...it's because we keep ****ing around in the middle east. No compassion- like having a straight faced orgasm.

Yeah and don't look at the regulated news in the united states. Look at the Al Jazeera news. You frequently see news of American bombs missing targets and killing whole neighborhoods of civilians. Or we'll just bomb a whole neighborhood to just get a few al-qaeda operatives. No wonder it's so easy for them to find people to fight against us.

I bet you voted for him just cause your christian. I work with a guy that votes Republican for the sole fact that they don't think abortion is kosher in the eyse of god. To him nothing else matters. To me thats just retarded. How could you vote a second time for someone that just makes mistake after mistake is beyond me. Sure he don't like abortion and claims to be a christain but he's killed millions of innocent people.Well as long as no unborn babies are killed and yet another liberty is stripped away I guess its ok to kill millions of people in another country. I voted for Nader seeing how neither party offered a good candidate. And Bush a christian... don't make me laugh!!! He's a mason for crying out loud. Go to church and tell em your joining the Masons and see how welcome you are.
