Credits: 101 Spent time on board: 2:59:38 Hours Rep Power: 9 ![]() | well, i said that "believing in nothing is still believing in something" is bullshit then then you said that you posted that statement because it was contradicting. so i guess you ended up agreeing with me on post #430 i think we need some definition here. it's not so much that some people believe in an absolute absence of deities. they just could care less and hold no beliefs, which when i hrased it. might have sounded like they had a strong belief in a lack of deities that's the difference. most people who claim to be atheists dont hold any beliefs about religion. thus you can't really say that they hold beliefs like a christian or muslim would. however, i would agree that people with strong beliefs in a lack of a god could possibly be considered somewhat similar to christians or muslims. anyway, i think we were both somewhat right cause we were arguing about different things |

The truth is in my opinion Religion was used to group the masses who were scared of all the unknowns that the world had to offer. I think that it is way too outdated. On top of that religion is so centered around church these days that if you don't go to church, you aren't viewed as religious, which contradicts everything that most religions are about. I do not fault others who are religious, I just don't really care for the whole thing myself. |
