OMGosh. The best gift... true apperciation.
For all that do not know me..a lil history. If you have no patience reading..do not post?
A few times..some of my kids teachers moved in,due to overwhelming circumstances, and needed a warm bed.
None more than a few months.
This is ok with me...I have BEEN homeless in my life and KNOW what going hungry is like.
To get to the point...my son's g/f lost her job and her family was evicted...(owner selling the rental home)
All other family members had a place to stay. She did not......She was just over at the house and mentioned she had no place to go.
OK this was not acceptable to me.NO ONE needs to be homeless at Christmas. So..I TOLD her...you are staying here.
So I get a card after she left...she sent the most beautiful card with a thank you that made me cry.
This is her note...have any of you experienced this?
It meant so much to me when you allowed me to stay at your home, when my family was between homes. That's the best thing I could have wanted.A comfortable home, and a warm bed to sleep in,you are both truly wonderful people.I won't forget the kindness you have showed me.I hope I haven't beentoo much a burden on you.Sorry about having no gift to give you this Christmas. As soon as me and my family are on our feet, you will get something special.Again, thank you so very much. All my love, Jen

Would be suprised how few people would open their homes up like that...how fewer still whom would thank such a kind hearted person. There are good people out there though, like you Pam. :)
