Ok, today i got my ear pierced and I'm not sure if i want to stretch it or not (by stretching i mean a tunnel through my ear). So what do you guys think should i go for it or not?

I know it's not the answer that you want, but whatever you want, man. Personally, I wouldn't do it, because I'm not much for the whole piercing/body modification thing, but if it's what you want, go for it. I'm not that knowledgable on the whole pierce/stretch thing, so I don't know if there are any safety hazards or whatever. If there were, I'd probably have to weigh the good with the bad, and see if it was worth doing so in the first place. Good luck, and have fun.

In my opinion I think it looks ugly and freaky, dont do it.

I voted yes because it is your body.I do not find them all that attractive personally,but then again,it doesn't matter if I do or not.Yours is really the opinion that counts.

Yeah thats gauging, I personally don't like the way it looks on people, but it is your choice. Seeing pictures of you, I think you'd look better without it(no homo :x)

I'd say do it, gauges are sexy.

Just for my own opinion, i think gauges are disgusting. That, and i think im biased against them, since i've seen someone with a gauge get it caught on a bus window. Not a pretty sight. But hell, thats what i think. Do what you want to do, man.

I don't think you should get your ears pierced period. One because I hate it, and it looks idiotic. Two, because when you go do stuff, you want to bring a good appearance (applying for jobs and stuff)

As for gauging i would have to say no

i personally wouldn't do it. i think it looks ok but i dont want to have to get my ears sewn up when im 40 because i outgrew the idea of having a hole the size of a coffee cup in my ear. Then again i also would not base my decision to do it or not on the opinion of other people. You should just figure out if its the best thing for you to do at this point in your life. Think about the cost of re-constructive surgery 10 years down the road, when you have 2 inch holes in your ear lobes because you wanted to keep stretching them. Also think of the 1980's and how cool rat tails and mullets used to be. Think about how awesome they will look when you have to get dressed up for ... say... a funeral, or a job interview. On the other hand , think of how much the ladies will dig your big ear holes. Think about the endorphin rush you will get when the big sweat soaked man in the tattoo shop plugs a steel rod through your ear. so yeah man, just think about it and then make a decision on your own.

Stretched gauges within reason shrink back after time.

Soo many mixed opinions! I still haven't decided, because as blue pointed out at some stage i will be going in for a serious job interview and they probably won't want someone with a hole in their ear.

i guess if you keep it moderate and you aren't like ... I WANT TO FIT A SOUP CAN THROUGH MY EAR!... then its all good.

the way he got it caught was on the emergency latch handle. Stood up too fast, had his ear stuck around it, and then you can imagine the rest.
I think within reason is a good idea. Maybe big enough for your pinky, but not large enough for Luxembourge {over exaggeration}
