so you make a legit ladder sorc from scratch, you want it to be a mfer, how should you spend your points from the beginning to end to make it as effective as possible?

if it's ladder, wouldn't it have to be legit anyways? i don't know about the world of hacks and dupes, however, so i don't know what is up with that? check out the sorc guides in the sticky thread at the top of char/development page, they all seem to be good builds.

(follow in this order for better lvling)
20 meteor
20 Fire mastery
20 fireball
20 firebolt
(put some points into fire ball and fire bolt untill you get to meteor)

Somewhere in there put 1 into teleport, energy shield, and a cold armor of your choice

also somewhere along the line put as many points in warmth as needed





im doing that from one of the guides, but what if i run into fire immune enemies? if i do put skills into cold then the guide wouldnt work.

no need to double post. anyways, when i made a sorc, i made it a meteorb sorc. heres how i think i placed my skills.

Fire skillz

-20 Fireball
-20 Meteor
-20 Fire Mastery
-i think like 5 Warmth

Cold Skillz

-20 Frozen Orb
-i think about 10 Cold Mastery

i also had the point into teleport, and i think some gear had already given me some point into some kind of cold armor.

FOr imune to cold u use a act 2 holy freeze merc with botd pike or something strong...
At lvl 96 all ur skill will be maxed .. then u will have 3 point more that u can put in shiver armor ... So that it i hope it will help u ...¸

i dont think he can afford a botd pike with scratch...

But i know that he can afford a eth bone hew or norm one ... they not worth alot ..

so when should i start putting points into cold leading to orb? (remember this is on a sorc starting from scratch.)

start a blizz sorc, their best for mfing so then u can get some decent gear, then try something else.

ok... first of all if you all dont know this already that little skills guide was copied and pasted from my mf fire sorc guide located in the sorcerress guides section. and what you wrote was a cold sorc guide. i dont want to sound a little demeaning but a monkey could figure out that that was for fire sorcs. and energy shield is good if you have enough mana to spare. just look at the guides here on d2 sector. i recommend mine but i geuss anyone would suggest their own work.
