Ok so like 2 years ago I got hacked and stuff but my sorc she had fathom, nightwing, like 5 cold gcs, treks, mara, arach, coh, spirit, torch, magefist, i think 2 sojs and she did 1.3k orb and tonight I got to thinking whats the max dmg and best gear for just a regular orber pvp(no es) i've seen 1.8k orb and stuff but the guy told me he could go higher so I am curious about that now, any help is appreciated.

wow 1.8k how do you get that with just orb and ice bolt??? sounds impossible to me i have both maxed and i do about 450-500

you max all of your cold skills like orb/mastery/and whatever else is needed for cold orb synergies and you need gg gear... I only needed like 4 cold gc's and a 20/20 shield and I would have done nearly 1.8k or maybe more.

The highest usable orb damage ive achieved is 1600.That is with coh,27% fathom,20% nw veil,torch,anni,9 cold gc's,2 soj, arachs,35% fcr spirit monarch,and maras.This gear seems to offer the best survivability,and only sacrafices a couple hundred points of damage.But my sorc is also es,so that makes her even more likely to survive.
Mastery doesn't actually add directly to damages,only lowers enemy cold resist,thereby indirectly increasing damage.So im lacking a little bit in fcr,but with magefists or trangs gloves on(against fellow cold sorcs,lol)I do pretty well in pvp.
