hi everyone i got a questions, for those of u sorcs who uses the ormus robe as their armor, how do u keep up ur reisist?

do u use spirit for shield or sanctuary for shield? If you use spirit u have to sacrifice a lot of str to use the shield, but if u use sanctuary, do u think its worth it to get max block?? i need help? is it worth it for a sorc to get max block anyways?

so yeah mainly i got 2 questions

1. how do u keep up ur resist with ormus
2. is it worth it for sorcs to get max block?

1. Depends on your build and rest of gear.
2. You can do it, but I'd say that it's a waste of DEX. Spirit is hands down the best shield for a Sorc, but if you want to get max block, you will need to go for either Whitstan's or Stormshield.

anyways, I was really planning to use ormus instead of coh for my main armor, but when i use ormus, i won't have enough resist, so i thought id use spirit or sanctuary. Which shield do u think is better to cover up the rest of the resist? If i were to not have block at all, is it worth it to sacrifice str to use spirit or should i just use sanctuary?

if i were to have block, is it a good combo with ormus?? i mean does whinstons have reist? lol

Like I said before, it depends on the rest of your gear. What kind of a sorc are you making? Light, fire, cold? :)

i have a orb/blizz sorc, and all my stats are on vitality right now, im doing a gear remake on my sorc and my gear is:

helm: 3/20/2 with 2x cold facets
ammy: switching from wcollar to mara's constantly, dunno which one to use
rings: 2x sojs
belt: spiders
boots: imps
gloves: trangs
armor: dusk coh atm - soon to change to blizz ormus
shield: cold facet lidless - decided on a shield to keep up the resist with ormus

Is ormus even worth it? You can't do that much more damage with ormus over coh because you skill got the +2 skills. I say just keep coh as it's better. Also, try getting some all res scs.

You're a little wrong on this one. You need to hit 105%FCR, otherwise there's no use in doing PvP. Blizz sorcs are not good for ES, so I'd go for a full VIT build.
If I were you, this is what I'd do:
Helm: 3/20/2
Amu: don't know dupes on your realm, but go for +2 sorc 10%fcr +stats
Weapon: DF
Shield: Spirit 35%FCR
Gloves: Trang's
Armor: CoH
Boots: Treks
Belt: Arach
Rings: SoJs

Anni, torch, 9x Cold GCs, 3xSC 5%FHR/+5@

With this gear you hit the 105%FCR breakpoint:
20 Circlet
10 Amu
20 Gloves
20 Belt
35 Shield

And 86%FHR breakpoint:
55% Spirit
20% Treks
3x5% from SCs

It's a little bit of a glass canno n build, but all cold sorcs are. I could recommend using 2xBer in Circlet instead of facets, but it's personal preference.

so blizz sorcs are no good for ES? im not full blizz, im orb/blizz, im more orb than blizz, but ES is not good?

ES is good for full Orb sorcs. All Blizz sorcs have 1 point in Orb for the finishing move. Blizz sorcs are glass cannons, so you should either go for max Blizzard or none at all.

ic, so the idea of a hybrid cold sorc of orb/blizz where i max out all orb and the remaining skills on blizz and synergies is not a really good idea afterall??

I might need to remake my sorc into a full bizz sorc, but i have a question, if i want to use spirit shield, is it possible to not touch str at all and get enough str to use the spirit? Im guessing ill be needing str charms? u said up there "a full vit sorc" and use spirit?

Yep, it sucks.
It *could* be possible, however not the way to go. STR charms are a waste of space, it's a better option to just put a few points into STR. For your Cold sorc, with sexy gear, ~50 would be a good base number.

Full VIT sorc means that all remaining points go into VIT, not ENE.
