Questions about alternitive sorc shields - Blizzard Sector

Hi all. I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with...
1. Whats a good alternitive to spirit?
2. Is max block worth the points spent in dex?
3. If I do go for max block, what shield is best?
4. Does the -28% enemy fire res on a pheonix shield affect how much
dmg a fire sorc does?

1. depends what your sorc is for
2. only if you plan on getting hit
3. check arreat summit for shields with their block %s
4. it will, but you wont be able to see it.

Mostly, these questions are for my pvp fire sorc. ( heh..prolly shoulda included it in my post >.< )

1,3. a) Stormshield. Nice block%, DR%, resis, mods. But high STR req. I suggest socketing with Eld.
b) Whitstan's. Shield with the single highest block% in the game. Socket with Eld, or Sur, if you are ES as well.

2. Your choice. Without max block, most decent barbs will break you in half. Also helps against bowzons. Besides that, it's not needed.

4) Yes, but Pheonix is a PvM shield. For PvP, I certainly don't recommend this one, especially if you're going to MB.

thats if they catch you...none ever caught my sorc...

With Leap, it's not very difficult. And they don't have to catch you, they can just adapt to your tactic and sit you out.

if they try to sit me out i'll blast them from off their screen. all you have to do is get them to chase you, even if they are leaping they'll eventually take a fb in the face. and with my sorc it only took 1.

Which perfectly demonstrates that you've never dueled a real BvC. Let's 24k FB damage. Apply 1/6 PvP penalty = 4k, 75%resi and Infernostrides = 600 dam. Decent BvC = 7k+ HP. This demonstrates that whoever you dueled was a joke to PvP.

Dunno what your rules on BM are, but in Europe, Infernostrides are 100% GM. What are they on East then?

infernostrides are gm on east, 85 res i think is where it stays gm but on east hotspurs on gm since they take it to 90 or 95 don't remember which is considered bm
