0 MF sorc still good? - Blizzard Sector

I just got back into D2, so Im starting fresh. I have no gear and im having TERRIBLE luck getting some decent mf items. Skidude gave me 2 shakos and 2 war travs then I lagged out and they were gone. So I was wondering, if this bad luck continues, will I still find hi runes, good uniques and such with little or no MF? I havent played d2 in a while but last time I did play I thought I heard of people mfing without MF items and still finding good stuff.

well its possible, just less likely. look at me, i bot hundreds of runs a night(sleeping) and never find a thing. and mf doesn't increases the chances of finding hrs.

more mf will never hurt.
and before another retard comes in saying "omfg no 235.4634235236 mf is perfect, anymore will only reduce your chances," don't listen to them.

You might and probably will still find good items, just not as often. =)

i think o mf is the best.. its just that itll take a long time to find anything good. (got a shako off of hell meph w/ 0mf)
my point being there is no dimishing returns

yeh, my chars got 0 mf, but i found a lightsabre and some n venom grips today. All it takes is a little patience (plus tele, hehehe).

some say mf is the solution for finding good items i keep on thinking and i tought what if you joined the game and all obses are PROGRAMMED so when u join a game they drop items no mather which mf u got they gonna drop the same items. its just strange thinking but mayb a awnser on ur q yes i know i am crazy... :)

Yes, if you focus on dealing as much damage balanced with defense, you should fare along just as well because you will be able to perhaps do runs twice as fast as a mf-decked out character; henceforth you now have twice the amount of kills, and the more things you kill, the wider range of items you may be able to find. If you are not having much luck, however, feel free to switch in a couple of mf items if you find any during runs.
