Well this a PVM guide by me

Stats

Strength:: Enough so you can wear your Spirit Shield
Dex:: Enough to roughly get a 65% block
Vita:: Everything Else
Mana:: Nothing

Gear

Weapon 1:: Perfect Light Eshuta's with a Perfect Facet = No other choice really with its skills and FCR; an alternative is hoto.

Shield 1:: Perf Spirit Monarch = Decent Resist, Nice FCR and +2skills

Armour:: COH = +2skills +65resist and important +20Strength

Gloves:: Magefists = Nice mana regen and 20FCR and a bonus of +1 fireskills also helps with mana regen

Belt:: Arachnids Mesh = No other choice +1 to skills and 20 FCR

Amulet:: Mara's = Needed for +5 attributes and resist and +2skills

Rings:: 2 soj's = nice mana boost and +skills, you don't need fcr rings as with my gear choices you will reach the FCR breakpoint needed which is 8 frames 105%(and you will have more than that)

Boots:: Treks = Ethereal if possible but you must try and get +15strength ones.

Helm:: Griffons Eye = Nice FCR and +1skills and godly lighting mods for your char. Even a 15/15 will do.

Weapon 2:: Call To Arms = Try and aim for +3 and up

Shield 2:: Spirit = Anyone will do.

Charms

Annihilus:: You need at least a +15 stats one and also +1skills and resist makes it a must have

Sorc Torch:: I would all suggest at least +15 stats one and +3skills and resist makes it a must have.

Lrg Charms:: 7-9 light gc's I would suggest some life mods but that is expensive. I use 7 so that i can still pick up things.

Small Charms:: This is very important: You will need fire resist charms. How much depends on your annihilus and torch. The rest you can decide on either 20 life charms or 5%fhr charms. I would suggest life charms if you Grand Charm Skillers have no life mods.

Stats Continued

All the gear stated above will give you 80 strength of course you can substitute with Grand Charm skillers with +6 strength mod. Also don't think about wearing enigma like so many other users, you will die way too easy.

Skill Tree

Skills that only need 1 into them::

1 in Telekinesis
1 in Static Field
1 in Teleport
1 in Thunder Storm (this is optionally)
1 in Warmth
1 in Frozen Armour (nice defense boost)

NOTHING into energy shield this can only be a hazard to you at lvl 1.

Skills that need to be maxed

20 in Lightning
20 in Chain Lightning
20 in Lightning Mastery
20 in Charged Bolt
20 in Nova

This is how i max them

1st Lighning
2nd Lightning Mastery
3rd Chain Lightning
4th Charged Bolt
5th Nova

Merc

Armour:: Eth Fort
Helm:: Eth Gaze
Weapon:: Eth Infinity = This is what turns you into a killing Machine

FCR

With this guides you will have the breakpoint of 105% giving you a 63% boost to your damage. This is optimal you will not reach 200% giving the 86% dmg increase so don't even think about it.

You will with this guide at lvl90 have 44k lightning and 13k ChainLightning (using 7 gc's).

Tactics

Nothing really as far PVM goes just don't be stupid and teleport blindly into monsters because you will be owned. Use your teleport to your ability and you will clear out the monster quicker than anybody.

You will be able to take immunes quickly, you will own glooms as long as you can teleport correctly.

You sure make alot of topics on light sorcs i wanna see yours i remember i dueled it with my hammerdin but not my blizz sorc (it sucks) so whisper mnl_3 if your on maybe i can duel it.

I think you're missing the point. This is an incomplete guide. Refering people to another guide if they don't find what they need in this guide is not the answer.

If you can't afford the stuff in this guide then gtfo, this was made assuming people can afford the best stuff.

As a guide writer myself, I know what information is necessary. If FrogMan did intend to target only wealthy audiences with the guide (and I assure you, it will not appeal to many readers), then it should've been specified.

On another note, it is a general principle that PvM characters don't cost a lot. It is simply unnecessary to invest so much more for a marginal improvement in performance. Still, regardless of cost, many would argue with FrogMan's gear selections.

Reconsider what you're saying because at the moment, you're just arguing for the sake of disagreeing. Get a real point in somewhere.

Here's my real point, in three simple words, if you haven't already figured it out: the guide sucks. It's a harsh statement, but apparently that's what it takes to get the message across. I don't know what your requirements are for guides, but this one fails by all standards I've seen.

you guys are silly bickering like little school girls.. really the guide was decent and getting those items isnt that much of an effort. the eschutas and griffs will be somewhat costly with the facets you would want in it even... but find a lower stat one that most ppl look as junk and wont take much to trade for "junk"

A light sorc that is designed for owning monsters in hell has to have infinity, which in itself is considerably expensive. A cheap gear guide will get you nowhere in hell, far to many immunes.

And low damage.

There is nothing wrong with this guide. The problem is, you can't respec Stats/Skills, so therefore you have to make your build around your gear, and vice-versa.

The true problem is your quibbling. All he would have to do is change the title to "Wealthy Users Godly Light Sorc guide" And then the poor folks won't have to spend time looking at this.

besides why make a character if it isn't going to be total ownage, seems like a wasted effort otherwise.
