yes infinity is ladder only runeword, also for mf get a light sorc with infinity merc.

I have tried all three sorc skill trees for MFing and I must say that I favored the Lightning tree the most out of all of them. Im not saying that the Lightning tree is better, im just saying that Lightning works the best for me.

Yes, fire sorcs do uber damage but they dont have a very good AoE radius. Sure, i can use hydra but the recast is so slow compared to the Lightning Skills.

Orb sorcs are ok........nice AoE but, I always seemed to run into that group of cold immune mobs that i cant break, even if using Infinity, not that it was a real problem.......it just annoyed the hell out of me.

Blizz sorcs.......i never really even liked the skill in the first place. I didnt like the fact that there is that blind spot, which ment that if the enemy was in the right place.....they never took ANY damage. Also, the skill just seemed kinda limp to me. I always got bored using it, and again the unbreakable (annoying) cold immune mobs did nothing but piss me off.

I guess I am sorta partial to my lightning sorc. The fast cast rate combined with the uber high damage and the fact that you will only see a handful of uniques (and a few skeles) that are completely lightning immune even when using infinity = ownage. Yea, i know there is a small chance that my lvl 45 lightning will only do 6 point of damage but, it never really was that big of a deal....... Its not like i ever died because of it.

Overall, i think that its more personal preference rather than statistics and performance that people make their decisions on. Just because people say that a certain build is "uber" or "teh best" doesnt mean that everyone is going to like it. I guess whats good for the goose.....isn't always good for the gander.
