Credits: 0 Spent time on board: - Rep Power: 5 ![]() | All right, now I know Blizz sorcs are supposedly the best-MF-sorc ever.. but meh. I'm looking to try something a little different. My question is this: Would a pure fire sorc be just as good? I intend to go with an A2 NM Defensive merc, and put some good gear on him to help with meteor + fire immunes, but how many immunes am I looking at.. and is a blizz sorc just THAT much better? Another alternative would be a cold/fire combo, and would this work for MF? (Say, 5 into orb or something and then all rest go into fireball/bolt/meteor/mastery/etc.) And, if pure fire is okay.. what bosses could it solo in hell? (I'm still pretty new and so I don't have all the immunes memorized etc.) So (roughly) here are my options: Pure fire Fire/cold (uh, meteorb?) Pure cold. (ehhh.. id rather not go pure cold again though) I need to know soon please. Thanks. EDIT: I might consider a lightning sorc too if somebody suggests that, but I don't hear too much good about them as far as mfing goes. Another question: Should a pure fire/cold invest in energy shield and/or TS? Static? Telekinesis? :x |

Credits: 187 Spent time on board: 6 Days and 0:11:49 Hours Rep Power: 14 ![]() ![]() | meteorb would be something like 20 meteor, 20 fireball, 20 fire mastery, 20 orb, 10 cold mastery, the "essentials" (like tele, static, and some kind of cold armor/energy shield), then afterwards u can put more points into firebolt or something like that. i got one, and she's working pretty good for me; she can solo anything in hell w/help of act 2 nm def merc. -Andy is really easy w/fire since she has -50 fire resistance in ALL difficulties. -If you wanna do Duriel, just have ur merc tank him while you do some static followed by meteor/fball. -With Meph, you could always do the moat trick, or you could have your merc tank him (in that case you should prolly have something in merc to decrease lightning dmg taken) and you can cast static, followed by meteor,orb. -Diablo may take longer than other bosses because of many fire immunes before you get to him, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem, esp if you have some orb to back up your fire attacks. also merc will help. Diablo himself shouldnt be too bad, pretty much do all the same tricks as before (merc tank, you static and then meteor/fball) -Baal is the same strategy as every time. make sure ur fcr is fast enough that you can tele to throne without getting killed. hope this helped you out a bit; but yeh fire/cold is fun to do. |

Just curious.. not that it's REALLY important, but would this build be okay for pit? (Never been in there in Hell yet.) |
