Well, I was watching this movie earlier called "Children of Men" (a very good movie) and it was based on the potential fears a lot of us feel today about what may happen to all of us or what life would be like in the future. Anyways, the movie has inspired me to think about what life may or may not be like 50 years from now... What are some of your views and opinions about what the future may hold for humanity. Are we doomed?
probably, were going to be crazy and hit the nuke button meaning to blow one country off the face of the earth and setting off all of them. Killing everything and probably incinerating the planet also.
My Belief is that either A. Something will happen like in I,Robot or B. Computers will end up controlling people get way way smarter than humans could. It would suck if a computer started kicking our asses
or partially destroying the human race and the United nations ( a unified government) qill rise from the ashes of middle east, whats left of it when USA is finshed with it
It is inevitable that we, humanity as a whole, will become nothing more than history. Just a matter of method and time. There is a chance, minute as it may be it is still there, of a asteroid hitting the world in 2035 I believe. But it is possible that the planet will become more out of sinc and cascade into a new ice age. Also, the threat of us,any nation, destroying the planet with nuclear arms seems to be ever increasing. I honestly don't care the method. We'll all die sometime and nothing will change that. Why bother worrying about?

There is like a one in forty thousands of a chance that it will hit I think. And chances are we will procrastinate on it and action will not be taken till it becomes more of a reality. Not sure if will even be able to do much about it. Only time will tell.
How long do you think the planet will last at this point anyways? Right now with the way the world is deteriorating it should not be long before it falls apart.

With all the acts of hatred that we see in the world today, do you think humanity can survive for another 1000 years? We are somewhat destroying everything we touch right now. People are killing each other daily to prove their worth. We have destroyed our environment. How can we better ourselves so that we can populate this earth forever?

I know what you mean. I was going to type out a long explanation about how the increasing rate of the ice caps melting will descend us into an ice age like state...but I decided to just quote this and save an explanation for later.

if the asteroid hits, either we start slowly drifting away from the sun as the temperature globally drops and we enter a new ice age. or possibly, we start moving closer to the sun, and all of the ice caps melt, things flood, eventually we move so close to the sun that we just simultaneously combust in flame. or possible, the asteroid does not move the earth, but it makes the earth start spinning crazy fast, and we all get dizzy and have bad headaches. or even less possibly, the asteroid hits and the earth stops spinning, and the tides stop, and the people who like to go surfing become extremely upset. this was forcasted by HisInfernalMajesty. None of those would happen...lol Most likely if an asteroid hit it would throw so much debris into the air that the sun would be locked killing vegetation and creatures alike.

I think it is more like America is filled with trailer trash that doesn't know what a condom is. We really need to stop people from having 3-4 kids when they can barely pay for one. Wasn't a law passed prohibiting people from having more than one child? On top of that America basically allows the television to raise the children. And then everyone wonders why all the kids are hyperactive or overweight.

i'm seeing increased slavery of america to china, as it becomes more and more powerful as a police state. it will eventually have a semi partnership with the oil countries who it will then nuke after the oil runs out due to hostile diplomatic issues over whether or not they still receive benefits after they have no oil
