1. CoH is not nessaserily the best armour! I use bugged tals and they are pure ownage.
2. Your ring combo sucks to be honest. the only good thing about dwarfs is when you are dueling a fire sorc. Other than that bk 5 are a must. If dueling other smiters or barbs i suggest 2 bk 5 for life tap. When dueling GOOD smiters you will need tap.
For ubers i suggest not using the helms suggested above, rather use guilemmes (or however you spell it), And change the belt to hawinns, why? PMH! Also use a bk 5 + raven (if doing uber duriel) if not again 2 bk 5 (but watch out not to get hit by some of the mages they freeze.
Other then them few things you guide is good, keep up the good work.
P.s best char combo for ubers is A good hammerdin + smiter. My friend and i uber all the time and never die. hammer deals with minions which leaves smiter free 2 pwn the ubers.
nice guide, the items are abit too expencive for me atm
i have the eth exile vortex, which gives me the defiance when equipped... my def reach 33k with HS and BO + defiance.. so i think its a waste of 20 points to fill up defiance skilltree-wise. which other skill is useful for smiters?
also, my dmg atm are at best 1600... which really sux in hell as it takes ages to kill anything. any advice?
Ok, with 1600 smite damage in Ubers you will be fine. Make a game and make sure you are the only person in the game and run around and see how fast you kill stuff. If you do not think it is very fast then go to a boss and see how fast you can kill that boss. I currently have a smiter/zealot that can own ubers if i kill Meph 1st. Skills are max zeal, smite, holy shield, sacrifice, rest into fanticism.
1. Why would anyone use COH on a smiter? Fort if you like damage or enigma if you're doing organs. I could understand MAYBE if your resists were terrible.
2. If you use last wish, you don't need guillaumes, and I actually used shako on my smiter. Why? +2 Skills = more smite damage, and more BO. add the godly life and 10% DR (18 with ber) and it's nothing to sneeze at. Last wish also frees up your gloves, to add bloodfist or Rends or whatever mods you're short on. No, not laying of hands. We all know damage to demons doesn't work with smite.
3. I see alot of people that talk about exile damage being better than HoZ. It's not, assuming you upped the HoZ.
What is the Best (Damage) Shield with Smite?
Assuming no other gear on, base skills being 20 in smite and fanat and HS:
Leaving us with much higher average damage from the HOZ. This will be true of any pally shield, as they are all average damage of 46.
I didn't adjust this for the +2 combat skills on exile, but you can see they won't get you to where HoZ is.
The only reason you would ever use HoZ is if you really think the defiance aura is helping you out in ubers. Because you don't need the tap when you have dracs on, and you sure as heck don't need the tap when you have last wish on.
Not a bad guide for Ubering, you might want to look at the belts again, you have the same stats in each. Otherwise I built my last smiter close to what you suggest, other than the rings and maybe the ammy.
