Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows a ***ly zealer build for v1.11b.

I've been doing a lot of researching, etc. but everyone seems to have different ideas for skill builds and weps, etc.

Also, I've been away from D2 for a while so I am not sure of what people use for currency anymore?

I have about 20 Zod's, 10 Vex and some other crap and an EBoTD zerker with 410%ED - wondering what that is worth?

Armor: COH
Helm: Dream
Shield: Dream
Gloves: Dracul's Grasp
Belt: Nosferatu's Coil
Boots: Cube Upgraded Tearhaunch (war boots)
Weapon: Phaseblade Crescent Moon
Rings: 1 Raven frost, 1 manald
Amulet: Mara's
Charms: 1 Anni, 1 Torch

Note on Gear: Dream is key since items granting Holy Shock Aura will stack.

Skills:
Conviction: 20
Holy Shield: 20
Zeal: 20
Resist Lightening: 20
Salvation: 20
Note on skills: Resist Lightening and Salvation will increase Holy Shock Aura damage even though HS is from dream.

Str: enough for gear
Dex: enough for max block
Vit: all extra points here

+30 holy shock granted by dream helm and shield combined with conviction works ok in hell. If cursed by iron maiden switch from zeal to normal attack.

Whatever your on Palaid, give me some of it. *****leaf, if you intend on pvping with a zealer then dont waste your time, the only thing zealers do anymore is zeal/zeal dueling they pretty much blow shit against anything else. However, if you really feel like you must make a zealer check out the character guides on d2jsp.com.

I'll stick to ac for pvp. This build works well in hell pvm. The op didn't mention pvp.

Here is a better build.

Helm: CoA, with 2x 40 15's

Weapon: EBotdz

Armor: High def fort, even with fort you can acheive perf res.

Shield: If PvP (which I wouldn't reccomend) Then an Up'd HoZ. But if you are PvM Then an eth glitched sacred targe Exile with as much res a possible. Another option is high res pally phoenix ( ED is great)t

Belt: Verdungos

Rings: 2x Raven frost's with as high AR and dex as possible

Ammy: High METALGRID (Metalgrid>Mara's for melee) Higher res than maras and AR and def.

Gloves: Dracs or Rends, I use Darcs for the Str needed for CoA and amazing Life Steal, plus life tap.

Boots: Goreriders, no need for tearhaunch, you have perf res.

CHARMS: As many 3/20/20's as possible, 5 fhr with res and Res sc's (with a few res small charms you can get perf res.

MAX:
ZEAL
SACRIFICE
FANATISICM
HOLY SHIELD

STATS:
STRENGTH-Enough to wear CoA
DEXTERITY-Enough for max block (you shouldn't need much)
VITALITY-REST
ENERGY-..... -.-

Put the rest into Defiance or Blessed aim for the passives.

You now have max block, high dr and perf res with a lot of attack rating and 9k zeal.

Have fun with that.

Your = You're. Don't be so hostile kids, these are all only suggestions. I think the 2 raven frost is a better idea but fanatisicm doesn't compare to HS. Sorry but unlike you guys i'm only a casual gamer. Unfortunately I can't put my life on hold for d2.

kyle, your the dumb one. you expect a full physical damage zealer to be able to pvm? HA! It's true that you dont die cuz of life leech (btw ebotd isnt a good zeal weapon anymore, so u dont have leech) but it takes like half an hour to take out a bunch of monsters.

Palaid's build on the other hand seems like a much more viable build.

for pvp, all your builds suck ass completely. pvp zealots are for zeal v zeal, therefore almost all the equipment you guys mentionned is no good. I wont go into detail because im a lazy bastard

AND My merc is a full elemental damage merc (Infinity, dream ,dragon)

Phys immunes get slaughtered and I never die (with the execption of iron maiden)

I can tear apart all the mini ubers and uber-diablo and uber tristram.

I don't think that my build is garbage.



BTW, I would like to see a zealer own a max block barb, smiter or a trapsin. Zealers aren't for PvP.

how about a grief weapon? very nice speed, i think botd has lost its appeal if its not on a barbarian

Ethereal death cleaver is pretty decent for a zealer.

visionary tiara of the whale is a good choice also if you socket with 40/15's and there are lots of choices to choose from besides ebotdz theres last wish grief ethereal death cleaver doom..

Nah, screw visionary tiara. If you sacrifice one 40/15 you get 15-30 res and 10-15 dr plus more def and fhr.

Eth Deathz - gg for the glacial spike, slows other zealers down

Rare high def armor with either zod if eth or 40/15 jewel

Helm - CoA Double 40/15 or double ber

Those are essential for a zealer. And zealers are only zeal vs zeal, they suck at everything else now, infact, they don't even zeal vs zeal anymore, just plain don't make one.. Make a charger, those are fun.

Most zealers have ravens.
