fort, andys helm (in my opinion) and the weapon depends on the aura you want, however i dont remember the name anyhow so i cant help you there

If u need a merc for a smiter than that means ur smiter really sucks, but if i had to say i would use one with an aura that increases speed or an infinity merc never hurts, just make sure he has great def. i used an eth fort that had 4k def so maybe u could try getting a good fort like that and u should be fine

Why do u need a merc for...PVM? PVP? Uber?

If you say Uber or pvp, dont get one at all because it'll die before your eyes.

As a general rule of thumb, I suggest either a Rogue, or Iron Wolf. However, with the Iron Wolf you are looking at some high-end gear for Hell Difficulty. A ranged merc is your best choice.

Go for NM A2 offensive merc with Pride eColossus Voulge or eGiant Thresher.

The hell would you use infinity merc on a smiter for? Pointless...

I would say use Pride or Doom in an Eth CA, eth fort, and I suppose andys. No real point for a merc with a smiter, though. Smiters arent developed really for pvm outside of ubers, and in PvP your merc would get owned, and it wouldnt be worth it.
