But theirs always a problem with that, theirs some one that says this and that are wrong so the reason for me creating this topic is this. I would like to know how to build a GODLY All Around Hammerdin, And I need your help. I would like to see everyones ideas on what should and shouldn't go on a Paladin, in its inventory and so and so on. I need your help people! I'd like to see how this topic goes from here....if it strays into a bashing against members then I guess I should just go back to making my characters off of guides and have people criticize me. I appreciate any Input! Thanks.! |

Build the character how you'd like it, I'd go for low strength, high vitality, some dexterity for max block. don't worry about hammer damage so much, try to keep it above 11k, worry about dueling mannerisms before you decide to spend 1000000 million dollars on this hammerdin. also, learn to carry around extra equipment when you may need to switch out, like a ber shako and ss for melee characters or a zon and keep extra light res gear, blah blah blah, you get what i mean. basically, you can scrap what i just said and build the hdin, go duel for awhile, if something doesn't work--add or subtract to your gear accordingly-- and for god's sake, learn your character before you ditch him. sincerely, Cait Sith |

In blunt terms, you know nothing about PvP Hammerdins, don't start misleading people with false advice. @Grey_Fox: I think I may write a proper full PvP Hammer guide, can you wait with this for a day or so? |

No shame in investing a few points here, but first get all your gear together and then plan it in Hero Editor. DEX: base, or a few points for max block. I'd recommend max block. VIT: rest ENE: none Skills: 20 Blessed Hammer 20 Concentration 20 Blessed Aim 20 Vigor 1+ Holy Shield, so that you get lvl 14 in total with all gear rest into Resist Fire/Resist Lightning. Pick one and max it. If you have any points left, start maxing the last one. Equipment: DR set: Helm: CoA Ber Ber (must have 15%DR) Weapon: Wizzy with a stat jewel, i.e. 7%/+9/+9 Armor: Enigma AP Shield: Zaka Ber (you can upgrade it if you have enough STR. You need CoA anyway, so it may not hurt, however remember that you need +20 STR from Zaka to equip CoA). Belt: Arach Gloves: Magefists (Magefists > Trang's, because with your DR% set you will be low on mana, and you won't need cold resi vs. physical damage dealers, with the exception of Wind Druids, however beware that their cold damage is minute). Boots: Shadow Dancers +1/2 skills +25 DEX (DEX is important) Amulet: +2 pala 15%+FCR +STR +DEX +mana +life Rings: 10%FCR +STR +DEX +life +mana +resi mby Inv: anni and torch (you WILL NEED +20 stats on each, resi isn't all that important). Rest if up to you. Your options are life/mana SCs or life/resi scs. Does this matter? Yes. With your DR% set you will be very low on mana, which is very hindering in duels, so life/mana scs are nice, however it also helps to have stacked resis. Let's say that you have 20 points in Fire resistance, use inv to stack +20life/11light or cold resi, meaning that you won't have to switch gear or stack resists against FoHs and Cold sorcs. Choice is up to you. 4xSC with 5%FHR/+5allresi. With this set you will hit: 125%FCR = 50% Wizzy, 15% amu, 20% Arach, 20% Gloves, 20% rings 86%FHR = 30% Shadow Dancers, 30% CoA, 7% from jewel in Wizzy, 4xSC 5%FHR/+5 allresi vs. Casters: CoA is no longer necessary, so substitute it for Circlet +2 pala 20%FCR +stats +life +mana This means that you can scrap one FCR ring for a SoJ which you will need for extra mana, then use HOTO instead of Wizzy. Remember that you will need to make up for the lost FHR% from CoA with extra SCs, or you may even use 2x PCskillers with 12%FHR. Other than that, PC skillers are for PvM. This is a little brief, but let me know if you need help with any clarification and I will try to get back to you ASAP. Good luck and let me know how it goes, always looking for feedback. |
