so what is the deal with max block, is it necessary?

i was told that 125 dex = max block, if not how do u determine it?

i currently have 100 unused stat points. should i invest in max block or go for vit?

well stop acting like you have down syndrome and put your gear on and find out. look at your stats screen and under defense it says chance to block.

highest block on any char is 75..
u dont need max block on a hammerdin
all vita is the way to go! chars shouldnt be able to touch u if ur a good 125fcr hammerdin, and spirit > hoz, and to get max block with spirit, ud need to waste alot, and i mean a ****ing lot, of stats

i'm sorry i am not a pimp like u and i did not know taht max block was 75%, and i thought chance to block was monster-wise

i've got 125% fcr and i agree with you, i dont see why i would need block since my pally is doing fine, except for that one ***** monster. those really small guys in durance and sometimes in worldstone.

thsi is my set up

helm: +2 pally 20 fcr (no resist ;\)
armor: ap nigma
Wep: Hoto
Shield: HOZ
Boot: Sand Trek
Ring1: Fcr + some resist
Ring2: fcr + some resist
Belt: Arach
Ammy: +1 pally +10 fcr

with this i get 125 fcr, and i manage to get full resist with some small charms

so max block is unnecessary then correct?

ill advise max block on any paladin ... Reason? Most pallys get close contact with opponent.. AND they have holy shield.. which makes MB a WHOLE lot easy.

120ish dex gives you max block with zaka, getting max block with spirit is a very dumb idea.

Edit: in pvp any non retard barb > you if you haven't got block but with max block its a 50%-50% duel usually.

my pally is purely for doing mf runs and key runs, i wont be doing any dueling for sure, should i still invest in dex?

If you are making a mf hammer then there is probably no point in max block but if you are planning on doing chaos runs make sure you get a phoenix+lawbringer merc otherwise you'll have trouble soloing it.

With phoenix+lawbringer merc doom knights and dolls can't touch you. xD

I also used coa and coh on mine.

Ovbiously, if your merc has phoenix then that wont heal you, it'll only heal him, use that to keep him alive and lawbringer to keep all undeads away.
