Skills Blessed Hammers - 20 Vigor - 20 Blessed Aim - 20 Concentration - 20 Holy shield - 20 Redemption - 1 Why redemption you might ask? because it is great for if ur low on potions and need life or mana fast ![]() ![]() Your skills should look something like this with your gear ![]() ![]() ![]() Stats Str - Absolutely nothing Dex - 25-30 for slightly better blocking Vit - Everything Energy - None this is my stats at lvl 92 ![]() Gear Helm - Um'd Shako is great or if you get str charms a COA is great Ammy - Maras or seraphs, maras will give u res but seraphs will boost ur defensive skills as well Shield 1 - Um'd Hoz, no reason to up it, still does same stuff just more defense Armor - Mage Enigma or Bp nigma, anything with low str req Boots - Treks great str and vita bonus FHR FRW and poison res Rings - 2x SOJs or 1 soj and cast ring. Belt - Spider, really no alternative, great belt Gloves - Mages or trangs, both have 20 fcr but trangs adds to cold res mages are regenerate mana 25% Weapon 1 - Hoto, this is really nice, 3 to all skills fcr and res, wizzy is a nice alternative 50 fcr 75 all res and nice mana bonuses Weapon 2 - CTA for bo Shield 2 - either lidless sigons shield or spirit too boost your bo Charms - Annihilus and Torch are a must so you can use gear, i have fhr charms in my inventory and life scs are also great. ![]() Merc and Merc gear I recommend an act NM Defensive Merc, because he will come with holy freeze already. as for gear: Helm - Ral'd EAndys, the ral is a must cause it negates the -30% fire resist Armor - Efort, Great res and high defense, also boosts your mercs damage Weapon - ECv Insight - Adds meditation and will have decent damage. Unfortuneatly no s.s. here waiting for the gear to go nl so i can equip my merc. Basic mfing strategies that work well with this build. Dont have pics for this becasue i got lazy. Countess - Basically tele to her, once on level five teleport into the room and tele right on top of her, switch to concentration spam hammers shes dead. Andy - Same as countess, tele to her, tele on top, kill. Summoner - Once again same strategy Travincal - this is a little tricky sometimes, just tele into the groups and spam hammers, if your health starts to drop tele away, theres almost always a well in trav use it and go back for more. Meph - Same strat as countess. might want to kill the council members before him because they drop well sometimes. Diablo - well you can either take the long way and kill everything, or u can teleport thru everything open the seals and kill the super uniques, once done that tele to diablo and let him have it. Shenk, Eldritch, Twitchthroe - All three of them same strat as countess, twitch is the super unique outside of the crystalline passage and has a high drop rate. Pindle or Nihlathak - well you have a choice here, you can either not kill nihl and mf pindle which is same strat as? you guessed it countess, or you can kill nihl for keys. You don't mention HS, just defiance... you max HS first, then defiance after lvl 96 or something bro. So it never gets maxed. Also, for a MFer/Rusher, you want FCR, not Dmg. Therefore, you're going to go 125FCR using 45 Res Spirit Sacred Targe (or other 40+ res pally shield) and 2 x FCR rings or 1 FCR ring / 10%FCR Ammy or 2x sojs/bks and 20%FCR Ammy. I disagree with the % block as well, MB is always grea tto have for rush/MF, however it's all or nothing, no snese wasting 20-30 points in Dex to get halfway. Gear... P Topaz Shako (anny pally shouldnt have res issues) and War Travs....also Shield 2 should ALWAYS be a shit Pally Spirit...least str/+2, no need for lidless/sihs as everyone can make a spirit, even if you just start the game. this whole guide is fuct. re-write bro. |

If you care to look, defiance adds more def to holy shield as a synergy than it does to actually put points into HS. The only reason I would actually put many points into HS myself would be because you boost the duration of the skill a little bit. BUT, you get a greater bonus by putting more points into defiance. I would say at best you have 5 points into HS just for duration purposes. So it is, in fact, a good guide that you failed to research before you commented. Nice guide, but it could be more in-depth. 6.5/10. |

Why is that so? Because it isn't really a guide, just a rigid gear setup with some explanation about skills and stats (that I absolutely disagree with anyway, I believe that any PvM Hammerdin would max Holy Shield before putting any points into defensive auras). Also, I don't like any hammer that does not make the 125%FCR breakpoint. It COULD be fine for PvM, but a Hammerdin deals up far more damage at 125%FCR breakpoint and can also effectively be used for PvP. Additionally, I cannot recall you mentioning any FHR brekapoints (fair enough, it's not really necessary for PvM, but still). Anyway, these are just simple remarks. Why don't you experiment a little and then write a far more through guide? |
