The really old games were first made on the NES. Do you guys ever want to play old NES games or any old games at all? The oldies were the best games.

I would play mine, but i don't have an Av cable for it, i have the aerial one but it doesn't work very well. I'm soo keen to play all my old donkey kongs, marios and yoshies ect.

The oldies were that best. Super Nintendo was huge with me too. Yoshie's island, super mario world, all the mario bros. THE BEST

I wouldn't say the best but definately classics. Dragon Warrior was the first RPG I ever played and after my reintroduction to the genre with Final Fantasy VII I've become an enthusiast. Probably would have been one of those, "turn based is dumb," people had it not been for Dragon Warrior.

Console games are getting worse, not all games. SOME console games. Sonic next gen got 4/10 rating. A sad day.

I don't listen to reviews, those online/magazine game reviewers are the same assholes that said Unreal Tournament 2004 was 8/10 and Doom 3 was "changing the genre."

Also, the games I mentioned above are all console games and the two that have been released already are absolutely incredible. I personally think games are getting more mature and starting to really define themselves as an art in some cases. Granted, the latest games in the Sonic franchise have blown donkey balls but some franchises are really starting to come out strong in the new gaming culture (Star Wars games are just kicking ass lately and they used to suck pretty hard).

But, game realism in some cases is going to ruin games like GTAIV, it was good but I hated the realism.

I have a lot of old games on my WII and compliation CDs I got for GC.

I have TONS of old games and love them to death, but for some reason, both of my SNESs are missing =(

I haven't been able to play any of my SNES games in so long I've forgotten what I have lol.

LTTP > other Zelda games, sorry guys.

I think a lot of games are getting worse because they're focussing more on the online features and less on the story. Some aren't, like rpgs and such, but there are less games out there that feel epic or are super addicting with their solo gameplay. There have been some in the past years, like *** of War and always the Final Fantasy games, and they get huge.. But a lot of games out there don't vary the gameplay enough and it's just more of the same at higher levels of difficulty.


Anywho, I loved my old NES. The Rocketeer, SMB 3, Mendel's Palace, Captain Skyhawk, Wold Cup Soccer.. Oh, and I can't forget Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. That game was the balls. I didn't get any other systems until about 98 when I got my PS, so NES was it for me all through the 90's.
