Ok, well this is what I was planning to use on my next great adventure. I was hoping to make a gfg pnb nec, so I pulled my gear together, and traded a bit. Here's what I came up with:


2/20/20 45 life circ
28 maras (paid a shitload for it, cuz it's legit)
1042 def MP Nigma
spider
2x sojs
magefists
40 hoto
35 fcr spirit mon
13/12 Treks (spare ones i had on a mule lol)


9x PnB GCs (one with 35 life)
17/14 Nec Torch
Anni (forget stats)
couple fhr scs (aiming for 86 fhr bp)
rest life scs



So, as far as my gear goes, what do you think? Any tips, suggestions? I was throwing around the idea of trangs vs magefists when I mf'd a pair of mages, so that worked out ok. Trangs may be better though, because of +2 curses. I dunno...anyway, thoughts?

Bad idea. Spirit > Darkforce any day.

Your current idea is not bad, but:
a) without lifers, your necro will suck. Made a Bonemancer recently, did not get lifers and he got blown away by most experienced duelers.
b) you will need DR% vs. some chars, i.e. barbs, so switch Spirit for Storm, one SoJ for fcr ring and Mara for +2 nec 15%+FCR +mods, when dueling melee chars.
c) mana will be a big problem, so besides PnB lifers try getting life/mana SCs.
d) vs. melee chars you'd probably be better of ditching HOTO and using White with +8 Bone Spirit.
e) in NvN, you'll want White with +8 Bone Spear (most Nec v. Nec are using Spear only).

Meh, spirit is nice but I prefer max block on all my characters, no matter how good you are your always gonna get hit every once in awahile, I myself prefer to use s/s with max block and use spirit or 2 pnb 3 spear double jah'd necro head for caster duels. Also, use a white when you duel melee and n/n duels and switch to hoto when you duel people who use fire/cold/ice. I dont know how people duel in east but dont bother with life/mana scs unless your a very serious GM dueler and use 20/5's or 20//xx cr/lr/fr scs instead. Oh and umm... just what the hell is that in your avatar Loits? whats that bear slapping?

what ya need is to put a shit load of psn scs and get dweb and have it in your stash and should max psn skills also for some reason i find most pvpers dont care 2 much about res mostly fcr and life also fun to watch them cry wen u psn nova then spear them 1s and there dead lol

correct me if im wrong but arent there 3/20 circlets with maybe 1 or 2 sockets if there is wouldnt that be better cause i see a 2/20/20 for a lld nec

20/20/2 circlet with two shaels is your best bet.

misfits138, most people don't even max bone skills and you are talking about putting points in poison? Don't post if you have no idea what you are talking about. People used to put 1 point into poison nova back in the day where carrion bug still worked...

Actually, the 3/20 circ are +3 pnb, and my circ does +2 nec. It all depends on what you're aiming for with your circ....imagine what a 3/20/40 45 life circ would be worth. More than I wanna spend for a damn helm.

I guess I can get some of that alt gear for my nec, such as 8 bs white, ss, and a +2 nec, 15+ fcr ammy or w/e. Then again, I can also just switch chars. My lite sorc/smiter would be able to handle what my nec can't. :)

Max block is nice, but definately an overkill for a bonemancer. You only ever need block vs BvCs and Bowzons, that's why it should be part of alternative gear. My nec didn't have max block and I still did fine against most barbs, because of full DR% and Bone Armor.
+3/20/2 is better than 2/20/2, because you don't need skills from other trees.

3/20/2 doesn't exist as far as i know.. 3/20/1 is possible though.

3/20/2 does exist. It's a regular blue circlet +3PnB 20%FCR and 2 sox from Larzuk's quest.
