k im makin a summoner but having troubles decided what i want to make him for sure.....ive met a few PURE summon and they do extremely well but gettin that first 1 or 2 bodies for skeles is an issue, lol.

then most of the guides ive seen are summon/bone spirit. i built that in hero editor and tried it out and found it not to be so much to my liking but there are good pros and cons to that, tell me mayb ill change my mind.

i built a summon/poison nova on hero editor as well and this worked extremely well, at this moment in time i think its what i want.

OR the other option is summon/pure amp damage or mayb another good curse.

WHAT DO U THINK I NEED INPUT!!! my first necro!

umm well pvm BASE but on occasion i like to pvp. would the gear be alot different? at the moment ive gotten a decent collection of things i figured would be good. ive ended up with arm of leoric, or whatever that is, a couple homunculus', trang armor/belt/gloves, morrows and as for rings atm nothing but manalds. can u give me the gear rundown on a pvm summoner and then a pvp summoner (if they differ)?

I <3 laggo mancers...

Go with full skeles and skele mastery, then put 1 into amp, and the rest can go into bone armor, or some killer skill. I personally go for a complete skele killer, using beast and the norm armor. Let your merc kill for the start, then your minions will kill for you.

Go laggys!

A quick way I always get Skellies without having to make the first kill is to go into the red portal next to Anya and raise all those undead that are already laying on the ground :) Works well for pindle runs, though any run with a summons necro is going to be almost intolerably slow.

My opinion is going Summon/curse and for curse use either life tap, or decrep. they always seemed to be best for me..i dont know if anyone else has this so if they do im sorry for repeating..

one point in all the curses is really all you need. It's hard to dual off a summoner without the infamous marrowwalk glitch, Summoner's are generally cheap yet you never have enough points to dump into bone spear/spirit. For either of those skills to be effective in hell you have to synergize them with bone wall/prision/teeth/eachother. Even then you have to have a lot of PnB's to be a truly effective bone killer. CE is a very good skill to have, one point is enough there, I like the range of the higher levels but it sucks up too much mana and without a good regen high levels of CE become more of an annoyance. As for the poision build... Well, with the typical build of 20/20 skills in skele, skele mast.. Plus 60 points to max out poision tree really dosen't leave alot for the other curses, or golems/revives. On top of that you have to take in what GCs you will be using and how to split them. Eh, Personally i'd stick with pure summons with one in every curse, never failed me before.

if you're going summon i suggest IM just so the enemy also get hurts while doing dmg to your skele and does the Marrorwalk glitch still work? i don't think it does...
