I am making a new bone mancer and here is my set-up, please comment on how to make this better, and rate bonemancers from 1 to 10, ten being the best, in their over all proformance(mfing,rushing,PvM,PvP)

Equipments:
Archon Enigma (will I look good in it?)
Hoto
Homunculus (how much are these worth? do they usually um these?)
Arachnid Sash
War Travs
Mara's
2 Sojs
Magefist
Shako Umed

Stats:
100ish str
add 0 to dex
get around 50 energy
rest into vit

Skills:
Teeth
Bone Spear
Bone Spirit
Bone Armor
What skill here?

Please comment on any of these sections

as for skills
20 spear
20 spirit
20 teeth
10 bone wall
10 prison
1 into amp damage

leftovers. choose as you wish. i usually get goloms as extra cannon fodder to draw the attention away from me, and put a few points into curses. yes i use curses and they really help at times.

as for the weapon. if you have find a boneshade that usually works better than hoto. look it up and decide for yourself.

and i would change up your vital and mana. add at least 90 to mana. you will burn through mana like no other. And an insight merc is good too.

Notes-
Bone wall is your friend - trap them and then pick them off one at a time.

Amp damage- cast on them. kill one then corpse explode kill the rest. this works very nicely on hell setting. plus it also keeps those res monsters like shamans from ressing their minions. great for nilathak runs, corpse explode them before he has a chance to.

Act 2 - This blows the horadrim ancients are immune to magic. ie all your bone spells, make sure you have a good mer to take care of them. lower resist doesn not remove the immune to magic.

Ammy- maras is very good, i use a crafted caster ammy for my boner.

rings- soj's are nice but only use one. use a good defensive ring too like raven frost. once again i use crafted rings. i sometimes get good gambles on a duel faster cast with other mods.

y the hell would u put into amp dmg? bone necros don't need any curses at all watsoever.......just try to put as many points as u can into bone prison.....u only need curses if ur psn nova necro or summon.......i put 1 point into skelies..mages...revive...golem....etc.....they're all at lvl 21..they're good for destraction

Try using corpse explosion with amp damage. you dont realize how deadly that is.

exactly my point.....he's telling him to put skills that aren't even worth putting in......u can only do corpse explosion only if u got corpses....and they gotta be next to monster.......u can kill monsters faster by using bone spear or bone spirit for bosses......DUh....and use bone prison to trap boss.....they are traped......bust a couple bone spears.....there u have it.....owned!!!....boss can't touch u.....or other monsters....even if they did u got ur summons....which u'll have time to summon another bone prison.....boss can't lay a finger on u.....and also bone prison is one of bone armor's snyergies.....more DMG ABSORE=pwnzors

with this gear you will have you want to get the best break points you can get

With these 3 max probably max them in this order

Amp is used in team pk.

I suggest a mageplate or breast plate enigma over an archon, lower str. req, good defense and more stats for VITALITY (if you're not pk it wouldn't really matter though)...
homonculus is good and all for pvm and pvp if you cant afford a good 5 spear bone nec shield or nething, but if you plan on PK you might be better off with a 35% fcr spirit monarch...or atleast a low spirit to switch out for 1v1 nec vs nec...

Also, you would be better off with trangs gloves over magefists...+2 curse, fcr, and +cold res...you shouldnt worry too much about mana since you are using shako+2x sojs+arach.
I suggest impshanks if you can afford for boots over travs but if not you can always go with marrowalk..they still have some good pnb nec stats even though the bug doesn't work nemore, still better over travs for pk :)...

Skills if you are going for 90+ should be like this::
Maxed::
Bone Prison
Bone Spear
Bone Spirit
Bone Wall (max teeth first if you want multishot for pk duels)
Teeth (max this last ONLY if you dont use multishot in pk duels and you want the extra +absorb on your bone armor." *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*

Prequistes should be::
1 in to bone armor
1 in to amp
and after lvl 90+ i suggest you get +1 to claygolem,golem mastery, and summon resist (if you are PK only)
clay golem will slow them and be a nice decoy for duels..
Amp is used in PK team duels...also good for helping do baal runs etc. (very worth it)
Whether you decide to max teeth before bonewall or bone wall before teeth is totally up to you..but be warned, you will not be able to max all 5 usually ...but with +skills you'll have it's no biggy, my nec maxed bone wall before pumping teeth (which i did as last)...so it's totally up to you.
