I have a level 79 necro, with Poison Nova and its synergies maxed, it is quite good. Haven't done PvP with it though... And some advice, don't use Trang's set, it really is ineffective. If You can afford it, get Bramble and Death's web, amazing combo. I also heard that Bramble won't work if it's on Your merc, so don't try that. |

Example: there are those poison vipers with immune to light ( first one) then immune to poison (second), infinity would get rid of the immune to light which means that lower resist would get rid of the immune to poison. If you just used lower resist they would still be immune to poison. |

I will say again lower resist only gets rid of the first resist from experience therefore if you did it on a monster with stats like the above, the monster would be immune to poison still, however with infinity, infinity would get rid of the first one (since its either fire, cold or light immune) and then lower resist would get rid of the poison. INFINITY IS A GOOD IDEA! |

Conviction has no effect on immunity to poison. Lower resist, even on its own, can break immunities. Against immunes it only functions at 1/5 effectiveness. For example, your lower resist is -60%, and a poison immune monster has 110 resistance. Lower resist will lower the target's poison resistance by 60%/5% = 12%. The monster will then have 98% resistance to poison, losing the immunity. Conviction, having nothing to do with poison at all, will not make a difference. |
