Credits: 0 Spent time on board: - Rep Power: 3 ![]() | I need some help… i’m triing for the first time in my life to modify a game and I’m beginning with DiabloII but I have some problems… I visited the phrozenkeep and I downloaded this programs: Mpqeditor,D2Excel v.1.0, Darkstorm’s table editor v.1.02, DC6 creator v.1.02, dsi editor, ds1 editor loader, ds1 scene, win ds1 edit(I know I don’t need so much ds1 editor but I haven’t still found the ds1 editor I wanted: in the mapmaking tutorial I’ve seen the image of a program which show you the map and it’s very easy to do what you want in this way and I looked for that program but nothing… now I have a ds1 editor which open maps but it show me them like t ùùùùùùù ù ù ù ùù ùù and other strange symbols and I find very difficult editing the D2 world in this way), MPQ2K v1.0 which doesn’t work as also tilemakerv2_5 which do nothing! Please help me, tell me where I can find a ds1 editor like that I descripted you up and a bin creator or something like that because to modify skills I have to modify the text(and I already did it) and to create the bin but I can’t do this with D2Excel because it give me “problem”! Another problem is that I can’t modify the tilesets: I followed the tutorial but nothing… I extracted the Fence.dt1 from data\global\tiles\act1\town\… and I created the corresponding batch file tiping in my notepad @echo off dt1extr Fence.dt1 -pal d2pal\act1.dat and saving it as ExtractFence.bat and putting it and the Fence.dt1 in Diablo’s directory exactly as the tutorial says but the batch doesn’t work and give me “problem”. And I wanted also to ask you if Paint shop Pro 5 is a good program to edit D2 graphic or if I should have another graphic program! Thank you! |

It has all the programs you need, available for download, along with tutorials to get you started. I'd also recommend cleaning up your post, it's uglier than a geo-cities website. edit: haha geo cities is filtered |

If you're too retarded to follow a simple tutorial, and the ones on PhrozenKeep couldn't possibly hold your hand more, then there really isn't anything we can do for you. Paint Shop Pro is on version 10, if you're using 5, you might want to update it. Gimp works well, and if you have DC6Creator you just import your graphics from pretty much whatever format you choose. You'd have to provide more information for us to figure out what went wrong with your map edit, and honestly I'm not too inclined to help. Again, the people at PhrozenKeep might have more patience with you, try there. Last edited by Kalamir; 10-09-2006 at 03:28 PM. |

I haven't understood one thing about dc6 creator!(I'm Italian) Can you explain me in another way what you said??? Maybe you've said that with dc6creator i can modify all graphic files??? If yes please explain me how because I can only open very dark images with black background! I can see pratically nothing! What I have to do??? Do you think is necessary to have paint pro shop 10 instead of using psp5??? thank you! |

It includes the following files: supertransmogrifier.dc6 0000.jpg 0001.jpg 0002.jpg 0003.jpg This is a quick tutorial for editing the graphic background for your Horadric Cube. Create the following path in your Diablo II folder C:\Program Files\Diablo II\data\global\ui\panel You need to be running Diablo II with the -direct command. Place "supertransmogrifier.dc6" in the ui\panel\ folder. This is the default background image for the Horadric Cube. Open DC6Creator. Open "supertransmogrifier.dc6" from your ui\panel\ folder. You'll notice that under the frames section there are four images named 0000 through 0003. All you need to do is hit "import" and import the corresponding named file for each frame. You'll notice the files you are importing are in .jpg format. You can edit the .jpg in Paintshop or any image editing program to anything you want. Just don't change the pixel size of the file. For example, 0000.jpg is 256x256 pixels. Don't change the size or it won't function properly. Once you have imported your images, just hit save, and then run diablo 2 from your -direct shortcut, and you will now have a new background for your Horadric Cube. You can modify all graphic files this way in Diablo II. Last edited by Kalamir; 10-10-2006 at 05:40 PM. |
