Hey guys, I really need help making my merc for a sorc, Im not that rich YET but what kind of items should I put on my merc, and which kind of merc should I get?

Get a A2 nm holy freeze merc they make good tanks.

Also might is nice seeing merc does a lot more damge meaning he lives longer.

act 2 nm merc are the best for sorcs ... if ur not really rich put a eth bone hew shaft + gaze

act2 holy freeze merc

sinse you're not rich, i'll just tell you a general outline..

armor with ALOT of defense and/or damage reduce(shaft, coh, stone, etc)
weapon with alot of damage and either open slots of life leech(reapers, bonehew, crescent moon, etc)
vampire gaze.. really no substitution there. damage reduce AND leech.

Only use act 2 merc if you like to do pindleskin runs and stuff like that. Use act 1 merc's if you want to duel. But it's entire up to the user to go for the one they like.

I agree with rob, if you're a sorc, especially fire, get a holy freeze merc. The freeze helps to aim with meteor ^^, which allows you to rack up serious damage in a relative quick time.

80/30 coa is a better substitute for vamp gaze

when u do get rich use perf cham levi
eth 40/15 reaper and 80/30 coa

eth bonehew doesnt do decripify or deadly strike, + it has 15% leech

You will barely be staying in one place while you're teleing, much less letting your act 2 merc hit them. That's just my opinion. I just like ranged attacks better :)

my merc is a really really good merc for my necro. she is a act 1 cold arrow merc and uses a fhr/ed/-15% req jeweled wf, 79% ed giant skull and a dusk shroud stone(if you didnt notice all her armor adds strengh)[stone adds 15 and giant skull adds 45]

Eth up'ed shaft is a great armor.

And Blindman, you're 100% wrong. Ethereal items have their requirements cut by 1/3. So it's only around 100.

Stealskull is a good item to get if you cant get a vampire gaze.
