Alright, this idea just hit me about 5 minutes ago. What if we had some of the more experienced members {veterans, legends , elders, etc} 'babysit' a few of the less experienced junior members/members? For instance, create a section where inexperienced members can go to to hang out with some of the 'locals' who can teach them 'the ropes' and so the inexperienced can feel accepted. Since I've seen a great mass of junior members who are at the 0-30 post counts, i thought it would be a cool idea. for example: {coincidences with names are accidental}
BloodLord is a Legend with about 1500 posts, Gnat is a Junior with about 15 posts. They are 'partnered', allowing the Junior member to be able to find out who some of the more experienced members are, also increasing his post count, all the while getting to know the site and feel more comfortable with himself. And at a certain point {after a number of posts} the two can 'part' {if they choose to} and can help other junior members.

We've already done this. For those of you old enough here to remember the Adopt-A-Member program that lasted a whole week before "falling off the face of the earth".

It worked for a little while, and was pretty interesting, but really due to lack of interest and new members, it didn't work out.

lol, my bad. Yeah, i guess the lack of new members would be a hinderance to the idea...but i dunno. I guess we shouldn't continuously beat the same horse, if you know what i mean

Since you requested, I shall close this thread.

I think there would probably be a general lack of interest for people to adopt-a-****, and the only people I see as ****s are the one-post-wonders asking for a hack, whom we will never see again.

But yeh, if ****s to the site need, they can always PM one of the mods or whatever, or at least feel free to PM me because I won't bite...over and over...
