Also just going back to my suggestion of the sig of the month, maybe for the winner of that competition you could win a big + rep. Theres doesn't seem to be much reppin going on lately.

Also, if your saying people can request sigs for points, what happens to the signature request thread? because I'm still happy to do them for free.

sounds great, but u should give some points to the people who make the sigs to buy, maybe if the points system had something that had an awesome prize at the end then ppl would stay, or even pull a halo 3 type thing and have ranks like lieutinant,captain, and stuff like that based on your rep and how long you have been there. idk just throwin it in there cause this legendand vet stuff is dumb because some ppl spam their way to vet

Nex - The signature request thread will stay as is, as for rep, that should only be given to people who help out the forum. SOTW winners would get points.

Mushroomhead - The people who are making the signatures are going to get points from the people buying the signatures. For the ranks, I'm not sure about the halo stuff, but I think that the vet legend should be removed and add a couple of new things in like Graphics Team, Mods team(mod makers and stuff), render team, etc.

So points for the secret forums, yes there are ones I can't see, how much would they be? Considering the stuff we have on them. And the privacy of other users listed on that warnings forum would be an issue.

I'm all for this, concidering how points are dead / useless.

Looks to me you're trying to base it all around GFX, if we want more people to join we should also allow points to be used in trading sections for Diablo II, WoW..etc. Not everyone is into GFX.

I thought points were a very creative and great reward to have for active members because you could purchase gifts and what not. And what happened to purchasing different colors for your screen name, title name, and having to purchase a new sn T_T?

That was in the shop, and it was taken out.

I've bugged you guys about bringing the points back before. I enjoy it very much. I also suggest that the points should be corresponding to our present post counts too. So we don't have to start off at zero.

If you've bugged anyone, I'd like a link to a post where you've put up an idea such as Silver's please.


As far as corresponding to our post counts, that's a-no go. As far as I know, that'd involve Luke / FM going through and editing everyone one-by-one. Anyways, the way points work is the more you post [sigh... I remember the days of massive spam, ie Dynafrom] the more points you get, not the more posts you have.

We would need more items for a shop, and able to buy customizable stuff that acctually worked, and not just took your points. I think points should come back, but then you have the issue of people trying to spam for them like in the old days.

I agree with the points thing but the ranks im kind of partial on.

we had a thread a while back with some new ranks and awesome graphics for them but its just never went through.

as far as exchanging points for D2 and WoW stuff that would take alot of work because it would require ALOT more Mods and SMods than we currently have or could get in a short ammount of time, because that stuff needs to be regulated and monitored closely

but it would also be nice if the mods had the option of Disabling the users from gaining more points for Each post. Incase they were spamming the hell out of the forums

Points were awesome, i remember the people with the most amount of points, at the time it was people like frog Blood Angel, Frater ect..
They decided to sponsor members to be their e-***** or e-****. I was Frog didn't really have to do anything but he donated masses of points out to his e-hoes.
that was amusing, could possibly start that up again once people build up points again.
this is only if the point system comes to life again.
