Forum Gold?

Would forum gold be a good idea? To have people trading like other forums?

Heres my ideas for forum gold:

Remove points and replace with forum gold.
Instead of posting for forum gold you have to somehow earn it.
There is a bank for forum gold but only has 0.5% interest and is capped at 2k.
Best part is: Items poof but forum gold don't :

I believe that was the original intent of points. Trading. I think that our points are somewhat like American dollars...useless...we definitely need to reduce the amounts people have, but the problem is that at that point, it will be hard to readjust to the scale of points for items at the website. And I see no reason to make them called gold instead'a points. Maybe capped at 10k.

If I gathered right, the forum gold would be to give a currency with which you can trade for diablo items.

ugh this is stupid, who cares, hes just trying to make points worth something after it was him who made them worth nothing in the first place. Just leave it as is, its been going fine without it. It just meant people dont trade those huge lists for points anymore.

Point's are mean't for the Ushop primarily it's at your own risk to use them for trades.

I suggest you just outlaw the whole trading for points' thing and make it so auctions and the Ushop are all you can use for points.

The cure to points is to reset EVERYONES points and make it so certain forums give a certain number of points per post. Also make it so warnings and removal of posts/topics takes away peoples points for that topic or post as well.

The only way to settle this is to reset points, give less rewards (not to much), lower interest to about 2% and cap points at about 4k. And about name colouring and custom titles, you should earn these at certain stages e.g. when you get like 500 posts and have been here for like 4 months you can change your username colour. Thats just an example but changing the system to that would fix it quite a lot.

Why destroy something when you can simply fix it? No sense in making this forum like other D2 forums, D2JSP forums come to mind.

Dude, i totally understand where your comin from but points did work once till ppl got like 100's of 1000's of points and they just totally monopilised the trading, then you made a thread about it and eversince then theyv'e blamed you for their wrongdoin. having like both forum gold and points would be irritating.
