Yes, because it is a hack, but I don't believe Battle.net cares about d2loader, since nobody has been banned by it. Yes, I use it, no I am not banned.

D2Loader users have always been at risk for being banned, but for the time being Blizz is still letting us use D2Loader.

Edit: Shift beat me :P

I use it exclusively so I don't hear the stupid cd-drive whine. Not banned yet.

The owner personally talks to Blizz and makes sure that the release is fine with them before he makes it public. He has a personal guarantee that Loader will not be banned and they do not consider it a violation of the rules.

Please repost if I missed anything, I have been on holidays.

I know it is a bit off topic, but where/how did you get this information?

Yes, D2loader is detectible, however the reason they do NOT ban for this is because it does not go against battle.net regulations and does not screw around with anyone else's gameplay.

the loader is fine. they havent taken it off yet is because they can profit off of it in their own ways. true, its against thier regulations but if ppl noticed it, they go against thier own regulations and privacy acts that is supposed to protect the non personal setup that you can "send" to them but even if you say no, they check it anyways.

I read the emails sent from him to Blizzard and back on the original D2Loader site. I think it went down since I read them... but he had screenshots of the emails sent back and forth to ensure to people downloading D2Loader that they would not be banned and that it does not violate Blizzards regulations on Bnet.

Thats what I said in a thread already, where you get this from me? Also this seems like its true, why would they ban you if it doesnt effect the gameplay. All its doing is making it so you can play diablo with no disk. Plain a simple.
To anwser your question, I say its safe to use.

the ONLY. (MAIN REASON) they would ban is the fact that people will be able to play the game without even having to purchase the game. the only problem is finding a cd-key generator *not hard, google.. lmao* and having to install the game.

but majority of the people who play this game.. plays online... we all know singleplayer just sucks. especially since we can make our own armor..

then again.. singleplayer rocks for playing on with mods created from other people. ^ ^"

anyways... im still curious wether or not i should continue to use d2loader or not... i've been completely legit for the past....two weeks..

D2Loader is still legit in my opinion. Using it to play without a CD or using small plugins (like drophack protect, which don't matter much now that you can trade torch) is still not that bad at all.

The only time I would consider it to be not legit is if you use it to run multiple Diablo IIs.

I dont think bnet care about it. The game is still fair just easier and more convienient. I don't use it because I can't stand the "We got a big error here" message.

running multiple d2 with d2loader is possible but you will c/i in 20 seconds or less.. which is why people use a mod. .dll file to bypass that.

anyway about what I said before. google cd-keys. i meant to play on single-player. of COURSE THEY ARE GANNA BE BANNED ON B.NET.

which is one of the reasons blizz wouldnt want this to be used anyway.
people would be able to play their game without EVEr having to buy the game.

but blizz makes money banning people while people buying multiple copies of blizz's games

etc.
