huh, well any way, I downloaded this and got everything done right but when I uploaded my character it said error, I need to update my version, huh, it said to go to blizzard site?????
No, I believe V0.96 is the latest version (although I don't really use it anymore so I'm not totally sure).
From what the guy said, it appears he may have been going to play on 1.10 on Open (hopefully Open, since obviously edited characters won't work on Closed) B.net, in which case Blizzard will command you to update to the newest Diablo patch, 1.11b. Just follow along and you should automatically be able to get it.
If it says to get something at the Blizzard site, it would have nothing to do with the Hero's Editor, since I'm pretty sure Blizzard would rather spit on it than update it for you.
Download the correct 1.11b patch for you, and follow that installer to update. If you already are updated, feel free to try reinstalling the game (first backup save folder just in case) and updating to the latest patch, then trying again. Good luck.
Ok, I downloaded it , its on my comp. I have the Char made on the Game. I edited it and it says the blah blah must start with 55aa55aa... whats wrong with this? And also, It wont appear on my Single Player

hey this may be off topic and i am sorry if ti is but most of you seem to know what you are doing with hero editor. i know how to use it and have great characters off b-net but i was wondering how do you edit characters on b-net can someone please help me. thanks greatly!
(forgive me if I make a mistake talking english because I'm Italian) I'm very angry about this editor because it's a shit! I can't use all the Boss moves...why? I can't edit stats or skills over 1023/99 and neither with the HEX. I always try to make an irresistible warrior but all the times the other cheater on the net kill me simply... what the hell I have to do??? Please answer and help me... Finally I wnated to ask someone of you(also if it's illegal) if you know where I can take the CRACK for DiabloII LOD because I haven't the original CD! please help me!
heres some help for you... USE SMALL CHARMS... yes you max out on the editor at 99 but thats over kill and often it messes up and you actually do negative dmg... i have an ultimate character... has yet to be killed except by one of the hired amazons ... cause they ignore defense to tally... i do over 9000kdmg and have over 8 million defense... my inventory is filled with small charms that have various STRONG effects some up all my defenses others up all my attack and the rest lower my opponents resistances and defense... I've just stood there waiting for my friend to kill me for a half hour... he killed himself 3 times cause of the thorns aura (its an assassin) some tips DON'T GO ABOVE LVL 20 ON YOUR SKILLS use small charms to up your skills and give you better skills (pal skills) don't put more than 4 auras per small charm... or they don't work right and as for the boss moves you have to assign them to any one of the f1 through f8 buttons... otherwise they dont show up to be equiped... if youd like some help doing any of this modifications... my aim is haxxors1337 feel free
I love this editor I started using it way back when I started playing open. Most the items you make will have limits so if you over do it you will get error takes alot of trial and errors before you start maiking good items 1-3 weeks before you get the hang of it after that it fun and simple then you dupe your charms gear people like wow how you do that lol its funny
Well, i have D2 LOD open, lvl 2 barb, i have hero editor open, yet it says "Diablo 2 Was Not Found On This Computer"... wtf? how do i fix this, please help? Nevermind that, just had to reinstall the game.

You Sould Use Jewels With Added Sockets + Increased Damage + Aura And Other Stuff like fire, lighting, poison, magic, and cold damage chain lighting on attack and build sets to increase the amount of magic you can add

1-character file size too small!
2-Either this file is probably not a valid character file (or pre-V1.09D)
or your computer needs to be set for a single byte letters/unicode,Not
multiple byte letters/unicode
3-also make sure u set the regional and language settings to english
wel this says how to resolve it but i rly got no idea how to use a comp to do this stuff..
i been using editor for a long time but i got my new comp which is the one i am writing it down so i think is the new comp is good as hell but i dont now how to do the 1 or 2 or 3rd error ty
