Pre-Release Opinions

I have been waiting a long time for SC2 to come out ever since I finished #1. It had it's own look, style and a kickass storyline!!!! Now after viewing the flash trailer and stuff at the site, IT LOOKS JUST LIKE WARCRAFT III!!! The protoss look like freakin night elves and everything just looks too...."soft". SC1 had an edgier look to it than other games, like everything was made of solid stone. SC2 trailers look like rubber. Has anyone noticed this? How the female protoss kinda look like night elf archers??!!

well, i sort of agree with Metal here, i think they should have made SC2 more realistic, not cartoonish, but still it has its pros and graphics are decent 2

I'm very glad Starcraft II is coming out. However, I'm a little ticked off by the extremely ugly bunker and tanks they have created. -_-

I'm not the only person mad either. They actually said they redesigned the tank and maybe the bunker but I'm not sure, because of people arguing about how ugly it is.

Yeah it was originally a siege tank
now its some sort of new one, released two days ago or so.
Still looks ugly to me, I think Zerg look the best.

i think they wanted to make the graphics as good as they could while still sticking with the Orginal starcraft looks. then again you all realize that they could not change anything and we would all probably still buy it

it's just that I've been on an half-life 2 binge lately and it looks so damn real that it's become my standard for computer graphics. But the least blizzard could do is make everything a little less "bouncy" looking. Even though this bothers me, I'm still gonna buy it the minute it hits the shelves lol :)

Another one was released? I thought they released the better looking tank (in their perspective) awhile ago.

It was Siege tank at first
then they made a Crucio Siege tank

and in my opinion it looks terrible!
much worse then original

Personally I think thats what made SC1 so great the graphics and atmosphere and thats the winning formula they are trying to stick with. Game is not all about the graphics always just look at WoW graphics are not bad really but there are games out there with much better.

Well the Crucio Siege Tank was what they were always called and it was the name of it once they had a description of it on the website. Its still exactly the same tank, except they changed the graphics so its different from the video previews because people like me keeps rambling about how ugly it is. And it still is.

Edit: I looked at it again, its freakin a box. They tried to put the hardy feel to it and it just didn't work out. Its too thick. I think its because they don't want them to be small, because if its small people can fit too much into one area. Take a look at the screen shot. Three tanks occupied one cliff.
