That is technically "Guild Wars 3", one being "Prophocies" two being "Factions" nevertheless, this game is going to be pretty well done, as far as I can tell.

I think if it changed from Free to Pay 2 Pay would be a horrible decision for a company, especially for just an expansion. So I doubt they will change that.
Guild Wars was fun for me for a couple of months, then it was pretty boring.

oh i thought it was a tottally new game, not an expansion. i heard from friends who play it that it wasn't too good so i don't think i'll buy it. if it was a new one i woulda tried it. oh well..

The Guild Wars expansions are totally pointless, it's a few new missions, a few lame new items, 2 new classes and thats it, still same server/players as the original.

They are completely different stand-alone games, and they're also expansions.

They are stand-alone in the way that you don't need any other version of the game to play whatever one you currently have, they are expansions in the way that if you do have other copie(s) of the game then you will be rewarded in some way within the game itself.

And no, the game will stay free to play and that is not going to change any time soon


Also , each of the new Guild Wars are not pointless, they enhance the stories, greatly enhance the Player vs Player capabilities of the game, and are just fun over all to experience Guild Wars in new lights.

I'm able to play with all the chars from the expansions with just my original GW, the only thing I can't do is go past the molten place. Big Deal. Besides, I have nothing left to do in GW anymore, my Ranger has perfect gear.

Perfect gear costs over 10 million, fuggle. If you can't even beat the game, I doubt you have that.

My ranger has 15k/Fissure armor, as well as a Gold Storm Bow 15-28 req 9, 15% while Enchant (Enchant is more useful for me than > 50%) with a Perfect Sundering String and a 30 life Fort Grip.
Keep in mind I played back in the day where prices were more reasonable, and Crystalline swords were only 10k.

Ah, right. I figured you played more frequently, like most people who actually talk about this game.


Crystalline got a couple more zero's, if anyone could actually offord it, it'd 10million at the basis price, but if you have one you can just ask whatever you want - seeing as theres no one with enough money though, it's probably more used to show off. Go stand in PvP with it :)

u could say WoW>GW but they dont compare. WoW is a quest based game, GW is pvp based. u can go through the story and the quests in gw but the ultimate point of it is to get better skills/gear unlocked to be a better pvp character. unlike alot of games, in gw it takes considerable player skill to be good at pvp, your items dont matter as much.

Theres a long sword as a quest reward in the beginning island with the Crystalline skin. As well as another one for exhcange in the place behind that chick with the ashes.

I know, but you know if you were to try and trade that to someone with the money needed, they'd realize the fake....



And the reason I show off with my real crystalinne sword is beacuse its actually not shitty it's basically a sword you'd buy for like 600k, perfect in every way ... but the rarest skin, like eva.... found it in the underworld quite some time ago, me and my buddies swap it around alot.

not really becuase in WoW you can war at any level at 10 plus, and you need to assess your gear and your skills, correct me if i'm wrong but in GW 20 being the highest level, you click a PVP game and you make a char you want and they cut you loose with a 20(a 60 in WoW) with perfect gear and all the move and say kill each other, but in WoW you acatually get the gear you want and the spec you want, also in GW you can;t spec, say i get a WoW= priest (GW=healer + Necromancer/caster) i get him/her up to 60 and i can respec (or spend my talent points how i want to, less on one kind of heal or more on the other, i can choose how i want to make my character, not have some premade piece of shit on my account that i can't even be porud of. Also i'm sure that alot of people will back me up on this, WoW has some of the best damn PvP around and quests. becase i think that GW that other main point is Quests

On WoW you can choose, also i can speak being a player of both, that you can take two road in WoW, you can go PvP or Pve (player vs. player) or (player vs. enviorment) or both its a mix ther are spefic gear for Mobs(monster) or PvP and then mix gear, also the custimaition on WoW is amssing you don't need to buy die to change color if your armor, he armor is visible and you can see the stats easy, there more armor and more wepons that on GW and shit isent overly priced (accept maybe at the acoution house). WoW is a much better desigined, englinered, produced game than GW is sides shit blizzard made it and this is a blizzard website (not that the section is) but really i had a better first experence on WoW than i did on GW, on WoW i knew where i was going on GQ i was lost, beisdes on WoW whn you leave a city other poeple can follow you with out being in a group, and also your always in PvP with another faction (horde vs. alliance) if i'm a horde and i see an alliance i can run up and kill it. from where i can see you can't do that in GW. GW is trying for the PvP expenace i hear but WoW is trying for both and doind better on the one its not really focusing on. i think that really has something to say for the games

they dont give u perfect gear and such in guildwars when u make a pvp character unless u already have found that item in story mode. see u make a story mode character to get through and unlock skills and items. only the basics are unlocked for pvp when u start. after u make a story mode character u can search for the skills and items you want so you can unlock them for pvp. so...until u unlock the skills u need and the items u need u are shit in pvp. not perfect gear...obviously

im not sayin WoW isnt a better overall game im just sayin its not really comparable because they are different types of games for the most part. either way it doesnt matter, im not goin to pay for a game after i buy the cd anyway i dont even play gw anymore lol
