Blizzard Confirms 'Unannounced Next-Gen MMO'
Following speculation surrounding job advertisements on Blizzard's website, a community administrator has confirmed on the World of Warcraft forums that the developer is currently at work on an unannounced, next-gen MMO.

The job postings displayed are seeking lead character and environment 3D artists for the unspecified project, which has an icon reading "Top Secret!" displayed alongside the posting where the logo for the appropriate game property would normally be.

The community administrator addressed the speculation on the forums succinctly, but said, "No, it is an unannounced Next-Gen MMO. And that doesn't mean an expansion for World of Warcraft either.

Earlier this year, Blizzard founding member and senior vice president of product development Frank Pearce told Gamasutra that the company had created a workforce titled "Team 3," comprised of about 40 members separate from the Starcraft and Warcraft teams.

Pearce declined to give any details on what the team might be working on, only saying that "Team 3 is working on something really awesome. I can’t give you any hints, but it’s totally awesome."

Idk about you but nowhere in that extremely vague article did I see a sentence on the plot summary. For all we know it's something new. As long as it's nothing like Hellgate: London I'll be happy. Such a promising type game failed so hard.

The only reason you are interested in Diablo 3 is that you enjoyed Diablo 2. If they totally redesign it, it loses it's entire style of play. Why is it you don't play WoW over D2 in that case? Don't tell me it's cause of the Diablo story either. I mean who cares about the Diablo storyline. Meanwhile Warcraft has the lore to back up (even though they tend to break it a lot) and create an entire massive game. I sincerely hope it's an entirely new franchise.

I'd be pretty pissed if it was D3. Also, if it's an MMO there'll most likely be a monthly fee.

Could be Starcraft MMO, as many people are speculating, and that franchise has far more lore and solid storyline behind it than Diablo. ****, I wish they stopped releasing expansions for WoW, I wouldn't have quit if WOLTK wouldn't have come out.

It is a bad thing for me. Just like I felt sorry for all those people whose T3 meant jackshit when TBC came out. I'm in university right now and I don't have that much time to play any more. When WOLTK comes out, it means that everything I've been doing thus far will just not matter any more. Sure, it may not be as hard on some people, but I've worked long and hard on my Druid, I have full epic Feral, Resto and Balance sets, with PvP pieces for each set etc. All of my Outland reputations are exalted (with the exception of Ashtongue Deathsword, I didn't do Black Temple for that long before I quit). Basically, my 80+ days /played on the account will mean jackshit. Thus I am leaving my Druid as he is, a relic or so :>

If I ever start playing WOLTK (which I doubt, because I'm seriously busy with studying right now) I will make a new character.

I don't understand people who like BC it's such a load of crap Vanilla WoW was way better and I jsut hope it will be more like it was pre BC when WotLK will come out.

You probably like pre-TBC because of nostalgia. Theoretically, TBC is a far better game. I started playing WoW at the very end of pre-TBC, it literally came out when I was like lvl 20, I think. Back in pre-TBC Druids were free HKs, resto was the only viable PvE spec etc. It just worked for some classes, not for others. You probably played a Warrior and ran around oneshotting people. Or lets not mention the days when 50%+ server population was Rogues.

TBC is a way better game in terms of game balance.

What if they kept the D2 mechanics the same in D3 but just improved? If that was the case, I'd be up for a D3. They must know that there is a large group of hack-and-slash fans to appeal to.

My server is full of rogues, simply because us in the EU have less numbers and getting high end gear is like the holy ****ing grail. We struggle to get ****ing kara groups for ****s sake.
