Just curious as to what people think would work the best?

I've heard good things about Bone spirit + Nova + fire golem builds, but I havent heard anything other then that? Any suggestions?

I just recently went through this and am now in the process of building a bonemancer who is primarily all about maxing bone spear and bone spirit along with thier synergy assignments (bone prison, bone wall, and teeth).... additionally, one point on clay golem (diversionary and helps keep the monsters off your butt while you kill them with magic),..and one point on amplify damage which , in PvM, will help your merc kill the magic immune monsters with his physical damage.

ps. I got in the habit of using CE, which, ...as a prereq with only one assignment, and a relatively narrow radius of only 2-3 feet,.... is nevertheless highly effective for crowd control.
